One time a boy named Froggy was walking on the sidewalk but suddenly he stopped. He looked on the side of him. He saw a big building.
"I've never saw this building before," said Froggy. There was a sign on the door. It said, Opening August 6, 2012. See things you've never seen before!
"That's tomorrow!" the boy said with excitement. He looked inside. There were all kinds of electronic devices, but there was this one thing the boy really wanted. It was called The Future Computer. He looked at it one more time and then he went home. As soon as he got home he asked his mom, Lindsy, if he could go to the store tomorrow.
"Well, where is this store that you're talking about?" said his mother suspiciously.
"It's just right around the corner. I looked inside and there were all of these devices!" he said, hoping his mom would say yes. He was trying to convince his mom into letting him go.
"When does the store open?" she asked.
"Tomorrow morning, so can I pretty please go? Pleeeeeeease?!" he begged.
"Ohh, alright, but on one condition. Only if I go with you just to see how it is. Then if I like it, I'll let you stay and maybe I might look at some things, too, O.K.?" his mother said in a serious voice.
"Oh thank you mom, thank you! I promise I won't let you down!" the boy said with excitement."
So after Froggy and his mom got up they headed to the store.
"This is it, turn here!" Froggy said so excited.
They got out of the car and went inside.
"There it is." Froggy said to himself. He was staring deeply at the thing he mostly wanted. He wanted to get The Future Computer.
"Look mom, that's what I want," he said.
It was standing up high, like it was the famous globe.
"That shining steel is beautiful."
"You want that?" asked Lindsy.
"Very... but I don't have that kind of money."
"Can I help you?" asked a man behind the counter. "I'm Tom, the manager of the store."
"Well nice to meet you Tom. I'm Lindsy and this is my son Froggy. We are just wondering, how much is the computer?" she asked.
"It's $300.00, but it's on sale for $129.99. Actually everything is on sale. Hey Froggy, you can go over there and see it if you want," said Tom.
"Really, oh thank you Mr.Tom!" Froggy said jumping up and down. He was very excited.
While Froggy was wandering off looking at the computer, Lindsy was talking very quietly to Tom. She started writing out a check. She was going to get the computer for Froggy as a gift.
"Thank you, Tom, I really do appreciate it, come on honey, let's go," said Lindsy.
"Ohh, man. Will we come back tomorrow?" asked Froggy.
"Actually I think we should stay home because there might be a package for you," said Lindsy. Lindsy winked at Tom and he winked back. Froggy looked puzzled. As they left the store Froggy was confused. He was confused when his mom, Lindsy, and Tom winked at each other, but for now he was going to put that aside. When they got home Froggy asked his mom,
"What do you mean there might be a package coming soon?" asked Froggy.
"Well you'll just have to wait and see, and we better stay home because it might be coming tomorrow," said his mom.
"Do you know what it's going to be?" asked Froggy.
"Of course I do, I bought it for you," said his mom.
"Can you tell me?" asked Froggy impatiently.
"I can't tell you. It's a surprise. Do you like to be surprised?" said Lindsy.
"Yes, of course I do," said Froggy.
"Okay, then you'll just have to wait and see," said Froggy's mom.
"Oh.. all right I'll wait," said Froggy.
The next day Froggy just waited right by the door.
"Mom, when is my package going to come?"
"Just wait about 10 more minutes," said Lindsy.
"Okay mom," said Froggy anxiously.
10 minutes later.....
"It's here mom!" Froggy shouted so excited. Froggy could hardly wait to see what it was.
"Come here mom, and watch me open it!" said Froggy.
"Okay, okay... I'm coming," said Lindsy.
"Look mom it's from Tom!"
"Let's see what it is," said his mom excited, too. Froggy ripped open the package and when he saw what it was his mouth and eyes just dropped.
"Wow, look! It's the Future Computer that I wanted, but how...." He stopped talking. Then he said, "But how did he know that I wanted it?" asked Froggy stunned.
"Take one guess," said his mom.
"Mom you didn't!" he said.
"I did," said Lindsy.
"Ohh, mom thank you, thank you, so much! I'll treasure it forever." Froggy was so happy. "So now I know why you 2 blinked at each other."
"You got it," said his mom.
So that day he played with his Future Computer, and had a great day!
