Aphrodite is goddess of love and beauty. Some people believe that Eros is Aprodite and Hephaetus son.

Eros was god of love. He would shot arrows that would make them fall in love with the first thing they saw, weather they want to or not. It was his favorite thing to do.

Apollo was god of the sun (light), reason, music, healing, phopecy, and poetry.

Ares was god of war, primarly violent. No mother would ever love or like him. Except for Aphrodite.

Artemis was goddess of hunting and archery, twin sister of Apollo.

Athena was goddess of wisdom, strategy, and war.

Hades was god of the dead and lord of the underworld, Brother of Poseidon and Zeus.

Hephaetus was born with bad luck, god of fire and the forge (god of fire and smiths). He makes armor for the gods and other heroes like Achilles.

Hera is goddess of the gods, and birth. She married Zeus.

Hermes is god of travel, thieves, and commerce, messenger of the gods. He showed the way for the dead souls to Hade's realm.

Hestia is god of the hearth and domestic life, eventually replaced by Dionysus. Her daughter was Persophone.

Poseidon is god of the sea. Brother of Hades and Zeus, and father of Polyphemus and Triton. His wife was a ancient sea goddess.

Zeus is king of all gods. God of air, thunder, and lightning. Brother of Hades and Poseidon. Husband of Hera. He destroyed his father who was a titan (Cronus). He loves women and has a various relationships throughout greek mythology.

I was interested in Greek history and interested in the gods and goddesses. It is important to me because I get to learn new things about famous myths or legends also because I think it is interesting to me. My favorite gods are Aphrodite, and Poseidon. I like Poseidon the best because he is god of the sea, I love the seas becuase I get to see speices like fish, dolphines, and other things under the sea, like sunken shipes. I believe that mer people and mermaids are real. It could really be true. It is known that mermaids sing very beautifuly. Maybe if there're real you could see one.
