This is a little announcement about me, and what I'm doing on Monday.
I was called for jury duty. That's where a person goes to court so they can be chosen to sit on a jury. The jury is a group of people who decide about a court trial. That is, the jury members listen to lawyers and witnesses in a court case and decide who is responsible for whatever the problem is. Sometimes they find a person guilty, or responsible for something that happened, and other times the jury might decide that there isn't enough evidence to prove who is responsible.
I don't know if they will pick me for a jury. First you have to go in and they ask a lot of questions. They want to see if you know any of the people in the case, or if there might be some other reason why you would not be able to make a fair decision in a case. So maybe they won't pick me for a jury. If they don't pick me, I will come back to school. If they do choose me, then I have to go to court each day for as long as the case is heard.
In the meantime, the Tell the Raven kids are doing a GREAT job of writing on this web site. I want to say a few things about some of the work that we have here.
Todadile asked a great question about life on other planets. Maybe you could answer it, and start a conversation about that.
Babygirl and Fuzzy told about their new rocks they found. Very fun. Some of the rest of you also have rocks that you can write about, don't you?
Something very fun: Goober's story about his Friday off got a comment from a person in South Africa. Think about how far away that is!
