I have a question for all you people in the United States. When will George Bush stop sending people to war? And why doesn't he go to war himself?

I'm thinking in the future when people are going to be tired of fighting and being in war! I think people should decide on whether they would like to fight or whether they wouldn't want to fight. I think when we are in the future people are gonna want to give up instead of fight.

People are going to remember when their fathers had died in war and when their father's father had died, and this will go on and on they'll remember that, and they know who they will blame.

A sad vacation!

Last week I had to go to Dayton, Ohio. It was beautiful but it wasn't a vacation. The only reason I went was because my grandma was dying. But as we got there the hospital was bringing her in into the house.

I was really happy to see her. She was bald because of the cancer treatment. After a few days they called and said she had passed away.

I was happy that I got to see her before she died, and then as I came back from Ohio, I saw my TV turn on all by itself, and I thought it was a sign. But I felt better that I was safe and I knew that she was with me.

A Sad Easter!

On Sunday for Easter, me and my sister Zoe found a piece of paper on where to look for our Easter baskets. After we found our baskets we went to breakfast with our family to Chatanika. After we were done eating at Chatanika me and my sister rode with our grandma to the store. On the car ride my grandma got a call from her sister Aunt Nancy and she said that their mother had died.

Grandma got red ears and little drops came from her eyes, then I knew that grandma was crying, and letting out. For some reason she kept on saying to herself "I knew this would happen." And over and over again.

My friend

Me and Messy are close friends. We do a lot of activities together, like kickball is something that we like, and we like talking about the same subject. I always have someone to hang out with every day. You could never have a friend that is better. Me and her are like tomboy mixed in with girlygirl.... Wait I take that back. We have our own code names. mine is Twinkle Toes and hers is MayFlower! We also have a secret handshake that we do almost every day.

A True Dragon Rider!

Once when a little girl named "Athiansa" went hunting now that she was old enough to go by herself. Her mom had died because she didn't obey the King of dragon kingdom. Her father died in war. Her grandma and grandpa died of natural causes. And her Uncle and Aunt died in a prison because they didn't listen to the King either.

But one day as she was hunting she saw this nice deer that she was about to shoot until there was this big stone that fell from the sky. It was silver and it started to hatch. So she brought it to her house that was made of wood. Then it started to shake and finally it stopped... Then with a big bang the stone cracked open.

An exciting Thursday!

Yesterday Robinson Duffy and Eric from the Daily News miner came to interview us and ask us about our stories. It all started on Wednesday when they called and told us they found our stories and asked if they could come and ask about our stories. So they came on Thursday and everybody was excited and they saw us type our stories. It was fun I had a great time.

Stone Fox

In the book Stone Fox, there is a little boy named Little Willy who lives with his grandpa. Unfortunately his grandpa is sick, well at least Willy thinks he is.

He wants to help his grandpa get better. So he starts taking care of all the vegetables and all the fruit so he can earn money for his grandpa to get better. But one day Willy finds out that grandpa hasn't been paying taxes, It's not because he's sick, it's because he didn't pay his taxes.

So little Willy is trying to earn money so his grandpa would be able to walk again. So little Willy entered the dog race. And Little Willy won the race with some help from someone that cared, gave up something that they loved, and was brave and Little Willy thanked that person.

Fancy Poems!

My mom used to tell me: Keep on going reach your goal, then you'll reach the top and rule.

Whenever I went to my grandpa's farm he used to tell me: In the meadow there is much more to see, then just birds flying towards me.

Whenever I felt sad my grandma used to say: Heart to heart hand in hand, together we are two flowers on a vine, holding hands.

Sometimes when I had tests my dad would tell me: If you passed the hard test, you may be able to do the rest.

A kind thing I've done!

Last week for spring break, me and my dad were cleaning the house for when my mom got home.

So I kept on scrubbing the floor, and cleaning the dishes, and making everything sparkly and clean. Because if you don't do it right the monster comes out of it's hiding place. It's like an expression. My mom says, "If you don't do it right you're going to have to do it over again."

After we cleaned the house, my dad said he'd take me to the Comic Shop to buy some Pokemon cards for being a good sport and helping clean the house.

A few minutes later we went to go pick my mom up from the airport. Of course it was getting late. It was already 4:00. My dad told me that we couldn't go today. I was really bummed out.

Rebecca the Watch Over Angel

One day Rebecca's friend Katie told her that someone needed to be watched over so she did. But when she did, Katie started charging at her and was trying to tell her to stop. Rebecca was confused. When Katie finally reached Rebecca, she told her what had happened, and why she was trying to stop her. Katie told Rebecca that she was cloned by another person. She told her if you would have really gone to watch over people she would have fallen in that person's trap.

The next day Katie asked Rebecca to meet her in the relaxing room. So she did, then Katie tried to throw fists at her with anger for locking her up and jail. Finally Katie said it really wasn't Katie.

SnowFlakes!

Last week we had a art teacher on Wednesday and Friday. She started talking about this guy named Wilson Bentley. He was a guy who discovered about snowflakes, and he found out they come in all different shapes and styles. He also learned that when snowflakes are born, they always start with a hexagon in the middle of every snowflake. Then a guy named Kenneth Libbrecht started to study snowflakes and he sent a friend of his to make these beautiful snowflakes. I really had fun with making the snowflakes.

My new improved poems!

My mom used to tell me: Keep on going. Reach your goal, then you'll reach the top and rule.

Whenever I went to my grandpa's farm he used to tell me: In the meadow there is much more to see, than just birds flying towards me.

Whenever I felt sad my grandma used to say: Heart to heart, hand in hand, together we are two flowers on a vine holding hands.

Florida

Last year I got to go to Florida with my uncle and aunt so I've been there before. It was fun.

Florida is a peninsula. A peninsula is land that is almost surrounded by
water.

In my book Portrait of America: Florida, there is plenty of water inside Florida, too. They say Florida has eight thousand lakes.

The St. Johns, St. Marys, the Apalachicola, and the Perido are rivers in Florida.

I think it is really interesting because my uncle and aunt live there and I want to learn more about it.

I found all my information in my book Portrait of America: Florida.

Washington D.C.

I haven't been to Washington D.C. but I heard the President lives there.

Washington covers 69 square miles. It lies between Maryland and Virginia.

Maryland borders on the capital of every side but the Southwest.

The capital is famous for its Japanese cherry trees. They were a gift from the mayor in Tokyo in 1912.

Oaks, sycamores, and magnolias also are beautify the city. Racoons, squirrels, opossums and even foxes can be seen in the capital's park.

I wrote this because I like President George Bush because hes a good leader and because I've always wanted to learn about it.

My favorite Planet!

Planet Ureops is a wonderful place to visit. The aliens can sing for you if you want them to.

Aliens are nice and there's a swimming pool to cool off in.

Planet Ureops is hot. It's size is medium.

Aliens live on Planet Ureops. There are all goofy, silly, and dumb aliens, too.

If you visit plante Ureops, you would need to wear 6 layers of clothes and you would have a jet-pack to go with it.

On planet Ureops you can play jump rope with the aliens. You can also play ball and have a jumping contest.

A very sad year!

Last year me and my family and some friends went on a trip to Anchorage. We were having so much fun until one day. The hospital called and told us that my mom's friend and her baby that was only 2 years old had died. My dad hung up the phone and brought my mom into the bathroom and told her what had happened. My mom started to sob and tried to tell herself it didn't happen.

After awhile I found out and I was just sad. And I kept on thinkng how did it happen. A few weeks later Stacy's mom called and talked about what happened. My mom felt so good talking to her and and didn't feel sad any more.

Zebras!

Zebras have beautiful white and black stripes.
Zebras stripes camouflage so they can hide from predators.

Scientists believe that lions are color blind.
The zebra confuses the lion by hiding in tall grass so it's stripes blend in.

Anchorage

Anchorage is a great place to visit. Me and my family went to visit Anchorage.

When I was down in Anchorage I saw a lot of log cabins. They looked very pretty because people decorated them with flowers.

Anchorage is really shiny in the summer and the winter. Sometimes people in Anchorage do performances outside to entertain people.
