This week it was testing. Most of it was easy. But some of it I did not understand. I do not like tests because they are too long. I do like test because we do not have to do homework. There are all kinds of test. I know why we have to do the long test. It is not for your grade. It is for to see how your school is doing. When the test is happening we have to be quiet. When we are done we have to read. Before test week comes we go over a lot of stuff. I hope I get a good grade.

By the Shores of Silver Lake is written by Laura Ingalls Wilder. Laura and her family is going to move to Dakota Territory. They are going to take a train but Laura is scared to take the train because she heard bad stories about the train.

The characters are Laura,Carrie, Pa and Ma. They all are a family. They live in a small house.

The main character is Laura because she is scared of trains.

The problem in this story is Laura is scared to get on a train. But she had no choice. She had to because her family is going to move on a train too.

I like when she got to the Territory. They got scared on the train because she like it when she got use to it.

On Thursday it was time to get out of school. I was excited! When I went home Sade' and her brothers and sister came over to my house and stayed over til Christmas. It was a lot of fun. When my mom and Sade's mom went to the store we got bored so Sade' said, Let's make a way to get downstairs faster for Christmas.

We all said ok! We made a car. Then we test it out on the stairs. It was fun but bumpy too. My mom came home. We had to stay downstairs while my mom and Sade's mom went upstairs with a lot of bags. I was wondering what were they doing.

My mom came downstairs to cook dinner. Sade and I helped my mom cook. It was almost like a salad but it was called taco salad. We all ate at the big family table. It was crowded so my mom and Sade's mom ate in the living room.

When we got done we watched a Chrismas movie called The Polar Express. It was a Chrismas movie. We all fell a sleep on the couch. My mom told us to go upstairs and lay down.
