Report I like nonsense poems. They are funny. I want you to see this poem called Jittery Jim.
Jittery Jim
By William Jay Smith
There's room in the bus for the two of us, But not for Jittery Jim.
He has a train
and a rocket plane,
He has a seal
That can bark and swim,
And a centipede
With wiggley legs,
And an ostrich
Sitting on ostrich eggs,
And crawfish
Floating in oily kegs!
There's room in the bus for the two of us, But we'll shut the door on him.

Personal Narrative The Best and the Worst of Fourth Grade
I liked fourth grade. Here are the bests and the worsts of fourth grade.
Best... I was in the speech contest with Lala. I made it to the districts. So did she. I did a speech called Claudia and the Great Search. This speech was about a girl named Claudia who thinks she is adopted.
Worst...The worst part was when I got in a fight with Skitchy. It was sad.

Big and little
Big boys do, little boys don't.
Big boys will, little boys won't.
Big boys can, little boys can't.
Big boys shall, little boys shan't.
But when little boys are as big as you,
Then turn it around and it is true:
Big boys don't, little boys do.
If you liked that one, you are going to love this one.
Why
Why do apricots look like eggs?
Why?
Why do sofas have four legs?

Fiction "Were moving,"
My mom could see the sad grief on my face. I do not know why though because I had never made friends easy. My dad had left with his friends when I was young and gotten in a motorcycle crash. I was only two years old. I am ten now. I loved my mom but I could not believe we only had a few days left in Happy Hill County. It had never been a happy place for me.
"We are going to live in Trow Town. It should be a good place for you," my mom said.
Our last day in Happy Hill was the next day. I was playing my trumpet when the moving trucks pulled up. My uncle was in one of them. My mom told me earlier that I was going to ride with my uncle. She was going to ride with my aunt. My uncle's name is Fred.

Report Part 1: Why we run the Ididarod
The Iditarod: Celebrating the Emergency Delivery of Diphtheria Serum to Nome, Alaska
The Iditarod is run each year to celebrate the emergency delivery in 1925 of diphtheria serum to Nome, Alaska. Nome, in 1925, had changed from a booming, boisterous turn-of-the-century gold-rush camp into a small, quite town of about 1,500 people. It had been fifteen years since the end of the gold-rush, but Nome remained an important town on the Seward Peninsula.
The First Signs of an Epidemic
It was a normal afternoon in the middle of January, in Nome. Doctor Curtis Welch, director of the US Public Health Service, was doing paperwork in his office when an Eskimo man came into the office asking the doctor to come quickly, his two children were very sick. Dr. Welch raced to an Eskimo settlement in Nome.

Fiction I like tests. They make you think and I love thinking. When you do tests, you have to try to get all the answers right. If you just go right through it you won't get all your answers right. Here is my story about testing.
Once upon a time there was a prince. He was retiring. A new man was going to take his place. But the man had to take a test before he could be prince. The test was called the royal standardized test. He took it but he whizzed through it so he did not pass. He was so mad that he could not be prince, that he took all the test booklets in town and traded them with the tests that you had to pass to pass kindergarten.

Personal Narrative Once, my dad and I went to Purplepanther's house to take her to my house and then to Blackout Night. When we got to her house, she asked if her sister could come too. My dad said yes.
Blackout Night is a maze the leaders set up at my church. It is made out of cardboard. It is so dark inside that you can not see your hand.
When we got to my house, Purplepanther told her sister I had a dog (I do).
"Keep the dog away from me," her sister said.
"She won't bite you," I said.
"Lets go up to my room," I said.
"Okay," said Purplepanther and her sister.
In my room
"Do you want to listen to music?" I asked.

Fiction My name is Sarah Rose Parker. I am 8 years old and in the second grade. I live with my mom, dad, little brother Troy, and big sister Lindsey. I have long black hair and blue eyes. In school I am okay. I do not enjoy school as much as my 12 year old sister Lindsey, or do not want go as much as my 4 year old brother Troy, but I have to say, it is not that much fun.
"Mom, how long until dinner? I am hungry," I said. I think that junk food is the coolest thing in the world.
"About 15 minutes," she said.
"Okay. Can I have a snack though?" I asked.
"You will live," she said.
"Fine," I said as I stomped up the stairs.
"You stop that, young lady. Or you're grounded," she said warningly.
I did not stop. I did not have to because all of my friends were out of town for spring vacation. I had to go back to school in two days and I knew I needed to stop being mean to my family or my mom might ship me off to military school. I had a plan. I decided that I was going to try to change my attitude.

"Don't move. It will make it worse," my mom said to me.
"Well I need to call Lindsey so she can come spend the night," I said.
"Well be careful with your leg," she said as I walked up the stairs.
"Okay,"I replied.
I have my own personal phone, but I really want my own phone number.
I walked upstairs and sat on my bed. I picked up the phone and dialed Lindsey's number.
Ring, ring, ring" Hello," a voice said. "Hi, is Lindsey there?" I asked.
"Yes, I will get her for you," the voice said.
3 seconds later Lindsey was on the phone chatting away. " I will bring the parent trap and lots of video games," she said.

"A pet is a big responsibility," my mom said.
"I know." I muttered.
