Warmer in Fairbanks

By AVC - Posted on 13 January 2009

You've might of heard my story "Fairbanks at 40-" but now Fairbanks is much warmer. It's much much much warmer than it has been for the last couple weeks. Some poeple that live in the lower states think that 10- is cold; well they haven't been to Alaska. We are finally able to go outside for recces because it is now about 20 above and there's a rumor going around that it should get to be around 50 above.

Unlike when it was cold my mom will finally go outside for a long period of time without complaining of the cold, and we don't have to rush to the car in the morning for school before we freeze to death. And now my mom doesn't make me and my sisters wear like a pair of boots, with snow pants, thick gloves, a sweater, a hat, scarf and really thick coats. On the playground I see kids running around without coats on because they are so happy that it's warmer out (but they do bring their coats out just in case they might get too cold). I bet if anyone from California or Florida came up here they would be dressed lke giant igloos or something like one of the duties out on the playground. She is definitely not from Alaska because she thinks that 20 above is cold, and she dreeses up like a igloo. Any way I hope that your January is nice and toasty, and keep coming back to Tell the Raven .us and checking out our stories.
