The great Alaskan Oil Spill

I think that a oil company, Exxon, should pay for the oil spill they caused. The reason I think they should pay because of what happened in Prince William Sound. What happened is that the Exxon Oil Company hired a drunk driver that was driving the oil ship and crashed into a reef and lost over 10 million gallons of oil.

They did not start to do any thing with it for at lest three days. by ten the oil spill had spread up to 40 miles.

Because they did not do anything, this damaged the environment. Animals were affected by this. A lot of birds swam down to get fish. When they did so they got stuck in the oily sticky water and could not get out of it and died. Otters liked there oily for and died from that. The beaches and land became oily and black. Fishes were killed in the water, this affected fisher men.

The fishermen could not get fish. People who depended on fish did not get it. They would not even let the fisher men help clean up.

Exxon had a horrible clean up plan. They did not work hard,they did not let people help, and they never finished. Know they are being not only what they should have payed before, they are paying extra. I hope this will end soon.
