The Magic Monkey Wearing Pink Socks!

It was a Friday afternoon. It was sunny out; you could hear all the birds cheeping and all the kids playing. It was a wonderful afternoon and everyone was happy. I was walking around with my friends Rachael, Moriah, Debby, Abby, Taylor, and Katrina. We had just gone bowling and we were going to the movies. We were going every where on that Sunday afternoon.

Rachael wasn't going to come because she lives in Anchorage. But she flew in on Friday night. Her mom and her sister didn't come, just her. So Rachael, Moriah, and I stayed in her hotel room with her. It was really fun.

So on that Sunday afternoon we all hung out and we started to walk around. We went walking in the woods because we were bored. Then when we were walking Abby fell into a hole. It wasn't just a regular hole either, it was a big hole. Then when Moriah was screaming and running she also fell in to a hole. It was also a big hole. But there was something in the hole. We found out there were seven holes. In one of them was a necklace, in 2 other ones there was a pair of earrings, in three other ones there were 3 headbands, and in the last one there was a hair tie. Of course, after they put them on, they climbed out of the holes.

But before they went to the movies they decided to walk to the mall first. So when they got to the mall. Taylor saw these shoes that she wanted. She said, "I wish I had those shoes!" Not knowing that her wish would come true.

When they were walking to the movies Debby said, "I wish there was no traffic so we can cross the street faster and not be late for the movie." So then a monkey that was wearing pink socks popped out of the bushes. He said, "Wish, wish! I grant you wish! The wish you said will be granted! I will grant it! Wish, wish!" Then he disappeared. All of a sudden there was no traffic. No where... They crossed the street with no traffic. They were freaked out. So they crossed the street and got to the movies on time.

But when they were in the movies Katrina said, "Taylor! Those shoes that you wanted at the mall there on your feet! You didn't pay for them!"
"What!" said Taylor, "I can't believe it! Why would they be on my feet?!" So then then a monkey showed up it the crowed of people in the lobby, and said. "See I told you I would grant you wish! You wished for it you got it!"
"But I didn't want you to break the law!" said Taylor. "You cant just do that! You have to make it so it never happened! NOW!"
"I can't," whispered the monkey with pink socks, "It's against the rules."
"Rules? What rules?!"
"The ones that you can't break!"
"Well you cant break the law and you did!"
"Well..."
"Well What! It's against the law and you cant break it! "
"Well you wished for it and you got it!"
"Fine! Then I'll wish it never happened!"
"I cant do that!"
"Please" said Abby
"NO!"
"Fine!" said Taylor, "I wish that you would leave us alone! Go away!"

So when they got in to the movie theater and sat down the commercials were playing. Rachael said, "I wish the commercials wouldn't play any more." But the commercials just started. So when they saw the monkey sitting in the row in front of them, they got really mad! They all thought this evil stalker monkey was following them. They all screamed "Ahh!! What are you doing here we told you to go away!" The Monkey said "I want to grant you wish!!!" Everybody in in the theater was staring at them. One 4 year old was crying because the noise hurt his ears and he was scared.
"Well, we don't want you to!"
"Well, I want to!"
"Too bad!'
They kept on arguing, then Debby said, "Hey, why are you granting us wishes any way? What did we do?"
"Im not sure.." said the monkey
"Then why wont you go away?"
"Because I like following you guys, its really fun!"
"Fun?"
"Yes! Fun! Monkeys like me don't get to have fun a lot."
"Hey, if your a monkey what are you doing here?"
"Umm.." The monkey said really quietly
"What?"
"Well.. I kinda broke out of the zoo, and.."
"And what?"
"I... I.."
While he was saying that two men wearing all white came up to him and grabbed him. The back of their suits said New York Zoo.
They said "There you are! We've been looking every were for you!"
"What?" whispered all the girls.
"We're really sorry. Gorry here has a problem with following people. He thinks he has magical powers and can grant people wishes."
"But he cant?''
"Nope. Well sorry we got to go bye."
"Bye."
They were all confused. How did all this happen? Suddenly Taylor says "Oh. Wait! These shoes, there mine! my Mom bought them yesterday!"
"Really?"
"Yes."
"But what about the traffic?" said Moriah
"Well, it is Sunday everyone is probably at church," said Debby.
"Yeah, so it was all just luck and none of it was wishes?"
"Ya!"
"Wow, thats weird!"

All of them thought it was really weird. So they just kept walking and had more fun! They pretended like it didn't happen at all. But they all remember it. They thought if it wasn't real then why think it was. So they watched the movie, hung out and went to a lot of places. They all spent the night at Rachael's hotel and they thought it was really fun! But they never saw the monkey again. They went and looked for him but he wasn't at the zoo. Just not there.
