King Tut the Young King:Part 2

Tutankhamun was one of the most famous Pharaohs ever. He was likely to be the eighteenth dynasty king. Tutankhamun was the only pharaoh to have a nickname, King Tut. King Tut was 9 years old when he became king. King Tut was born in 1342 BC and lived for 18 years.

King Tut died at the age of 18. For a long time we didn’t know the cause of King Tut’s death and we still don’t know the cause of his death. We don’t know if he was murdered or he died of physical problems. When people took X-rays of his mummy they found bone fragments in his skull. That meant he might died from a head Injury. There is another theory that he might have died from a broken leg.

King Tut’s adviser’s name was Ay. Ay probably had made most of the political decisions when King Tut was king. A lot of people think he was a king’s son but we don’t know what king. A lot of people think that he was the son of Amenhotep the third, but probably not because of his great royal wife Tiye. Then there is Akhenaten. But people think that King Tut is mostly to be a short living king like Smenkhkare then Akhenaten.

King Tut’s tomb is in the Valley of the Kings. His tomb was found by British archaeologists in 1922, nearly 3000 years after his death. They found small tombs containing hundreds of objects. Most of them decorated and covered with gold that would be needed in his afterlife. There was over 3000 treasures that were placed in his tomb to help King Tut in his after life.

King Tut’s mummy’s curse is “That anyone who dares to open his tomb will suffer the wrath of the mummy.” I Think what it means is that any one who opens his tomb will die young like him so DON’T OPEN HIS TOMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think King Tut is really cool because He was so young when he became king and he was really famous. He was a really good king for Egypt. I just think he was really amazing.
