Mummies

I think Mummies are really cool. Mummies are really cool because they are a dead body wrapped up in cloth.

It was very important to ancient Egyptians to preserve bodies. They preserved the body because they thought that they went to the afterlife. Mummies are usually rich people and kings. The Egyptians believed in the afterlife so they made mummies. Egyptians believed that they would go into a different world.

It took about 70 days to make a mummy. People took all the organs out and the intestines out but left the heart in. They took the organs out and the intestines because they thought that they wouldn’t do anything in the afterlife. The Egyptians kept the heart in the body because they thought it was the center of intelligence and emotion.

I just think that Mummies are so cool and kind of weird but mostly cool.
