Anchorage
We went to Anchorage. We were at mile 110 when this brown bear gets in the middle of the road. There was FIVE people in the car. I can and will name all FIVE people that were in the car: Me, Alleeya, my sister Rea, Mom, and Dad was in the car. We hit the brown bear going 65MPH, and broke in the headlight. My dad was bracing himself so that he wouldn't get hurt.
But the impact hurt his hand. He broke the bear's leg. The bear went flying over the car. He went about 12 feet in the air. The bear landed on its back. The bear barely made it over the rail. We had to wait for a while so that the cops can get there. The cops got there, he had to give us the go ahead.
So we went to Anchorage. Two days after we went back home. On the way back we had to look for a bumper peace. So we also looked for the brown bear. We stopped at the place to see if the bear was still alive. It was still alive. So we went to a gas station to see if there was a bear hunter. The gas station was about 3-5 miles away. There was no bear hunters there so we had to call one that the people at the gas station knew. That is all that happened that weekend.
I really liked your story.
I really enjoyed reading your recount of your trip to Anchorage. I've only ever seen a bear in a zoo. Here in Australia, we have to be careful of hitting kangaroos in our cars out on country roads. Once when I first started teaching I was with some friends on the Eyre Peninsula here in South Australia going to an early morning golf day when we hit a six foot red kangaroo on the front corner of the car. That did a bit of damage but the kangaroo just hopped off into the bush. Different part of the world and different wikd animals to look out for!
