Candy's Puppies

By Joey - Posted on 05 October 2007

When I was in 5th grade my dog Candy had puppies. It was in April. When my dad was leaving he saw that Candy was having puppies, so I rushed downstairs in the garage and there it was 3 cute little new born puppies, and a few minutes later I saw a puppy come out; it was a boy.

After a while my dad said take Candy and her puppies inside the house, when we got inside our house the smell of blood got stronger. It smelled so bad the house smelled like blood. I watched Candy being crawled on by the puppies. The puppies were like making sounds because they couldn't see yet. I thought Candy would have a lot of work to do.

In like 3 weeks later I saw a puppy trying to open her eyes. So I hug the puppy up and she opened her mouth and there was a bubble in her mouth, I laughed and thought of naming her Bubble. Her fur was the almost the same as Candy's hair.

Then I hug a boy up. I thought he was the first puppy to get born but I was wrong. He has Koby's(the dad) fur color. Koby's fur color was golden-brown and a black line from the head down to the tail. Now that his fur is cut his fur color is white with a light black line. Then I thought of a name for the puppy and never thought of one so I gave up thinking.

After a while I spotted another puppy with the same fur color as Koby and it was a girl. She is the twin of the boy but like six minutes older. Her nose was small and she was petite too. I named her Rozi.

The last puppy I found was another boy. He was the smallest of all the puppies, and he was born second. His nose was small too but not as small as Rozi's. I didn't name him because my dad said not too.

When the puppies were like five weeks old, our friend Mary had another friend that wanted a puppy so we bought the puppies to Mary's house. When we got there Mary's friend came in the house and saw the unnamed boy puppy and want him, so she named him Happy-Feet. So one puppy was sold.

When they were 7 weeks old they finally could play with the older dogs. Rozi loved to play with her mom, Rozi's twin brother bites so hard he left a mark on my elbow. Bubble was chewing on the tissues, and Happy-Feet was running into the dogs. When I got the icy cold water Rozi was charging at me because she loves cold water and every time the was water she gets her hair wet and her paws wet, she looks so cute when her hair's wet and she even uses her paw to get the ice out. Her twin brother does the same thing as her but he wants us to get the ice out for him. Bubble isn't like her sister, she likes to steal Candy's, Penny's, and Zelda's ice. Happy-Feet doesn't like ice but he likes the water.

When Happy-feet left, Candy was barking for one hour because she wanted him back. She sounded like that she was crying. After a while I went outside and looked at Candy for a minute and got Rozi inside. Then her twin brother and then Bubble.

When they were three months old Bubble was gone, then someone found out that we were selling puppies and went to Ping's to ask if we were still selling them and my dad said "Yes" and asked her to follow him to our house. When we got there she saw Rozi and her twin brother and said they're both so cute and thought for a moment and then said I'll buy both of them. I was sad when Rozi had to leave. In a week they were both gone. Every day I always think about them.

That's the story of Candy's puppies.
