Last Weekend Wasn't The Funnest One....
During this week I got something that you cant hold, nor is it something that you want.
Sunday night. I’ve had my shower, I’ve brushed my teeth, and I’m in my pjs. I go into my brother’s room just to say goodnight. Then I see that his iPod Touch is on his bed. So when he comes in the room I ask if I can play Pocket God (a game on the iPod). He says it’s okay, so I grab it up and sit down on his bench press and start playing.
Then he says, “Hmmm, I think I’m gonna take the bottom of my bed off.” So then he does so, and leans the metal bed frame on the wall. Meanwhile I’m still playing the game, and my hair is in the way of anything in front of me. Really, the only thing that is in front of me is the metal bed frame. So Samson (my brother) walks out of the room but lightly bumps his head on the frame and it falls, but Samson catches it and leans it back up.
But apparently he didn’t put it back up all the way, sooo, who does it come crashing down on when she can’t even see it coming because of her hair? Me.
Tears come streaming down into my cupped hands that are holding my head. Samson immediately comes in and swears something that is definitely not under his breath. He races me upstairs and to my dad who is watching TV. Instantly, he gets a paper towel around ice, and calls his girlfriend and next door neighbor who is very good with wounds.
I lay down and put the ice on the wound. I didn’t know what it looked like, but it sure as heck was on my face. So after Phyllis and Dad agree that I need to get checked out at the ER I go to the bathroom to see the cut.
And man, that bed frame couldn’t have had better aim and symmetry. Thaaat sucker was exactly ¼ an inch long, and 1 millimeter tall. Thaaat sucker was right smack dab precisely between my eyes on my nose.
Finally after the blood pressure, and and questions about if I did drugs, I finally get to sit on the very comfy hospital bed and watch Disney Channel. No stitches, no butterfly stitches, just some cream, and we are goin’ home.
Ouchy!!!!
