The Best Vacation Ever

Last year, I went on a vacation to Florida....more like the best vacation ever! We went there to visit our family. A lot of my family lives there. They are: my grandma, my grandpa, my twin aunts, their husbands, and one of the twin's sons (my cousin).

First of all, we had to get there somehow. Of course, we flew. We went from Fairbanks to Seattle, then Seattle to Orlando. The flights were HORRIBLE! In all, it took twelve whole hours to get there. Twelve hours of sitting and doing nothing!

When we finally got there, we had to drive the car to my grandparents' house, which was another two hours. My grandparents live in the country. It is a place called Branford. They have a pool at their house. My family and I swam in it almost every day we were at Branford. It was a lot of fun.

A few days later, we went to St. Pete. This is where my aunts, uncles, and my cousin live. We did lots of fun things there. We went bowling one day. My mom was the best. My twin aunts took my sister and I shopping. We visited a lot with our family in St. Pete.

One day, we drove from St. Pete to Tampa. In Tampa, we went to a theme park called Busch Gardens. It is a theme park with roller coasters, animal zoos, and more! Pretty much the only thing I did was ride the roller coasters. My favorite ride was called Skeikra. At the beginning of it, it drops you straight down two-hundred feet! It was scary at first, but then it was so fun. Another fun ride there was called Montu. Its theme was Egyptian. It is a rollercoaster where your feet dangle under you. It was also fun.

We didn't do a lot at St. Pete after that. A couple days later, we drove to Orlando. We did lots of fun stuff there. We even went to more theme parks. We went to: Islands of Adventure, Discover Cove, Seaworld, and Disney World.

We went to a place called Seaworld. Seaworld is a park with dolphin and whale shows. It even has one rollar coaster called Kraken. It was fun. We watched a lot of whale shows. At the end f the day, we saw a Shamoo show. Samoo is the name of a whale. It did lots of tricks for us, and a lady was swimming with it. I want to swim with Shamoo!

We went to Disney World. My favorite ride there was the Tower of Terror. It is a ride that shoots up and drops you down. I remember Disney World being more fun when I was younger, but it was still fun.

I went to Islands of Adventure. It is a park with stuff from Universal such as Hulk and
X-men. My favorite ride there was The Hulk. It brings you up slowly in a tunnel, and then launches you. Then, it does loops an stuff. There was also a ride called Dr. Doom's Freefall. It is a HUGE freefall. It was lots of fun.

Next, the best part of the vacation! Discovery Cove! There is a lot of stuff there: bird sanctuary, snorkeling, sting-ray feeding, and SWIMMING WITH DOLPHINS! First, we fed birds.
They landed on our heads and arms. It was fun. Then, we snorkeled. It was a built pond, but it had plants that looked real, and maybe even were real. I saw a manta-ray that was probably like seven feet long. I saw sharks and I told my dad, so we went underwater and saw that there was glass in between us and the sharks.... good thing there was glass! Then, we got to feed sting-rays. We fed them dead shrimp. Ewwww! Next was the best part, swimming with dolphins. We got to swim with an kiss a dolphin. The dolphin we were with was named Capricorn. Capricorn played Sandy the dolphin in the movie Jaws Three. He was soooo cute! We even got to see his son and grand daughter. It was such a fun day.

Next, the sad part came.... leaving Florida. We said bye to our whole family, and then left. The plane ride home was just as bad as the plane ride there. I am really going to miss my family, but that was one fun vacation; actually, the best vacation ever!
