European Eagle Owl
According to "Frightful Animals" in National Geographic, the European Eagle Owl weighs a feather-light nine pounds, compared to it's HUGE six-foot wingspan. This orange-eyed creeper is thirty inches long, and hunts quickly and quietly in the night. Its diet consists of small animals. For example, rabbits. But its knife-like beak beak and talons can take down a deer!
"Like many, this owl has the familiar" hoo-hoo, "but when it feels threatened," don't be shocked to hear it growl or bark!
If you see this big guy, don't provoke it, just let it glide!
