Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

I am reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Harry Potter is a wizard. He lives with his Aunt Petunia, his Uncle Vernon, and his cousin, Dudley Dursley. He would be living with his wonderful parents, Lily and James Potter, but unfortunately, they were killed eleven years ago by the most powerful dark wizard, Lord Voldemort.

Harry's life isn't totally ruined by the cruel Dursleys. Being as he is, a wizard, he goes for eleven months of the year to, as he would say, paradise. As the for the rest of us, we would say Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Hogwarts is great! That is, when you leave out the part about the mountainous piles of homework, schoolwork, and Professor Snape who, in Harrry's mind, is the the most evil teacher in the world, and who he loathes.

As for Snape, he doesn't feel too bright and wonderful about Harry either.

Harry's best friend, Ron Weasley has just come knocking on his bedroom window in the middle of the night. He's in a magical flying car! He breaks Harry out with all Harry's things. They have come back to Ron's house, and Harry is going to stay there.

Now Harry, Hermione (Harry's other best friend), Ron and all of the other Weasleys are in Diagon Alley buying school supplies for the start of term September first.

I've only gotten this far in the book. It has not gotten too exciting...... yet. This is book two, of seven in the Harry Potter series. I completely recommend it! It's a great new world to jump into!
