The UAF Incident
It was my brother's birthday and something bad happened. It was right after practice and my mom made me keep my gear on. So when I got to Pizza Hut my brother punched me on the chest and said, "Does that hurt?"
So I ate pizza and went to UAF right after. When we got there everyone got out of the car and ran to the hill. I got there last, so everyone got up the hill before me. When I got up the hill everyone just went down, so I went down, and when I was half way down, I noticed that there was a kid with a hard sled. I looked at my sled. It was just a flat piece of rubber. I couldn't steer my sled! Then I braced myself for the impact.
I should have looked down the hill before I went down but it was too late I was inches away from hitting his sled.
When I hit the kid's sled with my right leg, I thought I missed him, but I didn't. I went up 15 ft. in the air!
When I hit the ground, I landed on my right leg. I didn't feel the ground when I hit it. Everyone came running over to me. They all asked if I was okay, and I said I was "Okay."
So when I started walking, my leg went up and down! After that everyone knew that I was not okay. My mom picked me up right away; she put me in the car and she rushed me to the hospital.
When I got to the hospital my mom grabbed a wheel chair and put me in it. I didn't know what was happening at the time. I only knew that they put in a room and there was blocks to play with. The doctor told me to play with the blocks. I got on the floor on my knees to play with the blocks. After a while they asked me if I was thirsty and I said yes. I drank the stuff he gave me.
He said, "How do you feel?"
I said, "I am tired."
I fell asleep and woke up 2 hours later at my house. I thought like, yes, it was all a dream, but it wasn't because I looked at my leg and saw a cast. It was actually fun having a cast on. I would scoot around my house and I even raced my brother. my mom said I was the scooting champion. After one week with a cast on they cut it off to check on it. They said it was still broken so they put a new one on. so about three weeks later they said that it wasn't broken I was so happy. When I started to walk I wished that my leg was broken because it hurt when walked.
