Roman fact

The Roman Empire was connected by a huge system of roads and walls; also each town had a system of sewers, running water, and water supply. At the center of each town or city they had shops, temples, and government buildings. An army of men defended the city state or where the Empire was. The army legions were about 5,000 men, but they were highly armed with armor, shield, and swords. Around 200 A.D, Ancient Rome covered about 2.5 million square miles.
