Outdoor field trip

Our field trip was fantastic. It was cold In the valley then it got colder in the middle valley. it was really cold on the top of the hill where I had to put on my jacket. There was lots of tundra. It was really wet. The bus ride there and back was fun. The bus driver didn't have to say anything. Learning about the outdoors was fun.

The longest walk was about two miles on the top of the mountain. There was lots of rocks on that walk. I tripped a few times but never got hurt. There was cranberries and blueberries. We got to pick some. I had some but they were frozen in the middle and tart. We found a big huge rock and ate lunch on it. It was pretty scary but it was fun. You had to be very careful not to step in water. The funniest thing was when Katrina was holding on to Christie, and Christie started to run. Then Katrina tripped and lost both her shoes and her paper and landed on her back.

We learned about the vegetation and the tree line. The fun part about learning that stuff was having a scientist. He had a tool that dug into trees and took out a part of the middle of the tree. Above all the whole trip was fun.
