According to "Frightful Animals" in National Geographic, the spotted hyena is popular for its laugh. I know it might sound weird, laughing hyenas, but it's true. Its laugh can be heard up to three miles away. This hyena is super fast. It can run up to thirty miles per hour it will chase its prey until it gets tired and falls. It usually hunts in packs that can kill a water buffalo.

HI, this is Esquinkle. Today my teacher was talking about how kids always introduce themselves at the beginning of their story. Like I did at the beggining of my story, for an example. I think it is very dumb and senseless to do something like that. What do you think about when you read people's stories and they always introduce themselves?

Send me a comment and tell me. But don't make the comment short, because people also do that in my class, and then comment themself. Like for an example, I am going to send a comment to myself that says, good story. I will be the happiest person in the world. Esquinkle sent me a comment that says, good story.

I just read my neighbor's story, and she says "bye" at the end of her stories...

I think school is not important because you can learn the same thing watching tv, reading a newspaper or a book, and talking to your parents and guardians and asking them questions.

I don't like school because I think it is a waste of seven hours in a day, every day. But if you go to school everybody says you can get a good job. I agree, and I will NEVER drop out of school no matter how hard it gets. NEVER.

I am very bored, I don't know what to write about. There is only nine people in my class right now, including my teacher. It is very quiet and strange....

Guess what? I thought of something to write about.

Yesterday we went swimming at Hamme Pool; it was fun. I went to the deep end of the pool without taking a swim test that you have to take in order to go to deep end.

So I was in the deep end of the pool for about fifteen minutes and the lifeguard calls me and tells me to take the swim test. So I take the test and I swim to the deep end. And the lifeguard calls me out of the pool. I go to the lifeguard and she tells me to go the lockers because someone is here to pick me up. "OK," I said, "who is here to pick me up?"

She said, "I don't know."

So I went to the lockers and wrung my clothes out and got dressed. Mr. Noon, my teacher, came in when I was fully dressed and I asked him for a bag to put my clothes in. I got out of the lockers, and I saw my grandma...

I like the weekends it's very fun! When you can stay up late and watch movies with your family. I like to spend time with my family on the weekends.

I really like the book that I'm reading. Its called Scorpions, it is about a boy named Jamal, who is having trouble in school and at home. His seventeen year old brother went to jail for robbing a delicatessen, and killing the owner with a gun.

Jamal's older brother, Randy, is the leader of a gang named Scorpions. Jamal's mom does not want Jamal to be hanging around the Scorpions, but Randy wants Jamal to be the leader of the Scorpions until Randy gets out. Most of the Scorpions don't like that idea, but Mack is the only one that agrees with Randy's idea. Mack is the one that gives Jamal the gun.
