If I was given a ticket to go anywhere in the world I would pick Hawaii. I would go to Hawaii because I've already been there and it is super fun. Also I have all my family there. The places I like to go to is the Zoo, the Aquarium, the beach, and the water park.

First of all I like to go to the zoo because every year I go to the zoo. Every year I go, there are new animals. I also like it because the animals there are exotic animals. The animals that I like to see are the giant fishes. They are almost 7 feet in length. There are also penguins and parrots. When you go in the parrot cages, you can buy a bottle of nectar for 1 USD and feed the parrots juice.

The other reason why I really like to go there is the water park. The last time that I went to the water park I had a blast! Another reason why I like it is because I get to go and hang out with my old friends from pre-k.

The second to last thing that I like about Hawaii is that I get to go to the aquarium. The aquarium is always fun; it's the thing that I like to do most. I like the aquarium because it has a fish tunnel, and when you walk through it, it feels like I'm underwater with all the fishes and sharks.

Just yesterday I was sitting in my room watching television and I hear my mom calling my name. I said "YES." She said "Come here." The biggest mistake that I have made in my whole entire life.

I have been wanting a laptop for years because all my friends have one, but my parents still don't get me one. I wanted one for Christmas, still nothing, birthday, nope. I have an iPod touch, but that's not as great as a laptop.

I think that the iPad isn't as great as a real laptop because of the touch screen and you can't close the screen. I think that it would be cool and awesome but what would happen after a year? What about if the screen gets scratched or if it doesn't come with a warranty?

Well this is the new type of computer and some things are great about it and other things are not. This is why I want it, but I don't want it.

Last weekend I was with my friends Luna Lovegood, Makenzie, and Hamster Spy. We were all at Luna Lovegood's house partying with air blowers and hide and seek. We also played hide and seek with her brother, Samson. We were having fun. Then we ordered some pizza. Her brother challenged us to a pizza eating contest. We won.

The next thing that we did was listen to Tick Tock and I'm a Gangster. It was pretty fun. In the morning Luna's soon to be step mom, Phyllis, was so awesome she brought over bacon and we made waffles. But Hamster Spy ruined the waffle maker with chocolate.

It was 2 o'clock and Hamster Spy was playing the piano with Phyllis while Makenzie, me and Luna were all on Myspace. Then the day ended there because Luna had to go with her dad to Safeway to go with her mom.

I was reading an article about how teens got asked to take a survey about the hours of sleep they get. The average teen sleeps about 9 hours, and the least amount is 8. When scientists reviewed all the tests, 900 students got nine hours, while the other 2,800 reported 8. Scientists also asked students what could harm your health. Most of them said drugs, alcohol, and overly-sleep. If a person doesn't get enough sleep that could cause things like harder to learn, and physical abilities. You can get obese and sleeping can throw off your body's chemical balance.

A 34 year old man was getting a degree in art and he had a test to make something household. So he made an alarm clock. He went around asking people what they would want to wake up in the morning to. Most of them said bacon.

So when he went home he made an alarm clock that had a wooden pig put an alarm clock in it and a cooker. He cooked bacon in the wooden pig with light bulbs and then the fan would blow the smell out the nose of the pig and BOOM you have breakfast and you woke up!

All you have to do is put in a piece of bacon the night before and then if you set your alarm to 9:!5 the bacon will start cooking at 9:05. The bacon wont spoil because the bacon that you put in is frozen and there is no burning because he uses halogen light bulbs.

Tell the Raven is a fun site for Mr.Noon's class. We make blogs and we write about what's happening, or what's going on in our life. We usually are on this site a lot because it is a class website.

There is a story about this website and I think that it is true. Our school has a totem pole in our playground made out of red cedar wood. There is a raven a panther and something else. Sixth graders from like 10 years ago made that totem pole with a true Alaskan. The raven is on top so then it can tell the world about all the great things that happens in our school.

Today our class went to the Museum of the North and liked at all the cool paintings. We went with different people to different stations. The second station that we went to was I think the best because it had passion and cool figurines. The first thing that caught my eye was the outhouse. The outhouse that I saw in the museum was really cool! It had license pates decorating it and little mini things. I think that, that was the coolest.

The other things that I found cool was the relief paintings because they were 2-d and 3-D. It was 2-D because it was flat but, then again it was 3-D because it was carved in and nothing was sticking out to where you can see it unless your really up close.

The thing that people thought was fascinating was the listening room but I thought that it was pretty boring. The person who made it was John Luther Adams. The only thing that I was interested in was that he had devices that went all over the state I think and the device transmitted earthquakes, morning bells, night bells, and northern lights. After a while though the sound got pretty annoying.

Just this past week we had a substitute teacher. We had so much fun and the whole class had so much fun. Sometimes it was really boring like science but then he made it fun. We have him for the whole week (Thursday and Friday). We have a student box and a teacher box and when we are quiet he gives us a mark; when we're losing control, he puts one in his box.

I think that this is the best sub that we ever had. He is really fun because he knows when to stop talking and when we have to talk. Even in math he has some minor problems, but he gets through it. We played heads up seven up and it was really fun. I think that he was a little too fun, but it was fine with me.

Well it is the end of the week and it was really fun. I wish that we could replay this week but we can't because no one invented the time machine yet. This week was really fun but I wish sometimes we just had one teacher because it gets really confusing, but it was fun.

It is a very complex world out there and some people can't even believe that there could ever be such a thing created. Cell phones. Cell phones are the things that you can take on the go. You can do a lot of things with it. For instance you can text people, call people, and surf the web.

One of my dads friends has an iPhone for himself and he thinks that it was created to take over the world! But then again my mom thinks that he just watches too many Terminator movies. But I think that it just might be help to a stalker because of the applications on it. It has a application for almost anything you can look up a person's name and then it shows you what the house looks like, and what the address is, and even a phone number.

Then again sometimes they can come in handy because if there is an emergency, BAM! You have a cell phone to call 911. I think that the only reason that I like a cell phone is because of the texting. I think that texting is useful because it saves you more money. If you can't reach the person, you can get a hold of them and when you have to be silent you can just text a friend without talking.

Its almost Christmas and the tree is filling up in a mountain of gifts. Usually people want a lot of gifts. But that's the whole point. I thought that Christmas was supposed to be about giving, and having a great time with your family, but now there are people just wanting things then they get it but don't return to the person that gave them the perfect gift.

I think that Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year, and it is, but when you meet up with a grump like Scrooge, then I would think that your Christmas has a dent in it knowing that someone isn't happy when you see someone hating Christmas with their family.

Then I bring us back to wanting things. Sometimes there are Scrooges out there because they want something so bad but then when it comes to Christmas the don't get it, and they think they are but there not. In the future when people like parents try to get something for their kids it doesn't happen because they don't have money or their kids want, but don't appreciate what they get.

This Christmas I think I am not to receive but to take from me and give to the people who I think should deserve the gifts of Christmas.

This Saturday I went with my friends to go see the movie 2012. It was the best movie ever. It was about this guy who had a friend in Africa and he owned a copper mine. He said that the heating was unusual, and he wanted to know what went wrong. So he showed the scientist the hole that had water in it and the water was unstable. It was bubbling.

As soon as he saw it he contacted the president. He had traveled in a car 20,000 miles to the White House to talk to the president and he was told to go away.

So now there is a guy whose name I don't remember working for a lame guy that only bosses him around. He is divorced from his wife and only has some time to help and take time with his children. So he goes to his ex-wife to get his children.

They went camping and saw this freaky hobo when they were going to the campground. When they left to go camping, so did his ex-wife and Gordon (the girl's boyfriend). And they went to the store to go and get food and everything. When they went to go get the soup there was a shaking in the ground in the super store and then the store split in half and you could see the lava from the center of the earth.

Just the other day when the orchestra went to go practice everyone else that was left got to go and play a game that is called Gravity Master. It is a game that you have to draw shapes and move a ball so it can get to the moving black orb. There is another game like that and it is called touch physics.

I heard of this game because you can buy it on your iPhone or iPod touch. Last night I played it until 5:30pm from when I came back from school. It was crazy because I went up to level 20 and then I beat it, but right there the computer shut off on me. It was so crazy.

So I had to restart the game and it felt like there was 50 tons on my fingers, just from playing that game over. Then guess what those tons turned into.... not 50 but 1 million, because I wanted to finish that game. But it shut off on me again!!!!

I got so mad. So what I did was I took it slow and then I finally passed the level, and I was so happy, but also sad. I was sad because I couldn't show any of my friends, because it only saves on that computer. I just wanted to say that it is the best game ever.

Koala is my dog and she has recently got staples in her nose. She got staples in her nose because she got into a stick this summer and some sticks can contain a bacteria that put that bubble on her nose.

At first it was really small, the size of one little dot, then in the winter just before I left to Hawaii it was SuPeR big. I got really worried. So when I was in Hawaii, I called my dad everyday and asked him if the dog was okay and he kept saying that it was getting better, but when I came home I found out that it was getting bigger... Since my dad didn't take her in for her second opinion, my mom and I had to. So we took her in, and then they said that next Tuesday she would get the big thing that looked like a wart removed.

I was so scared that day and when I went to school on that fateful day all I could think about was my poor cute big dog. Later that day when I came home from school she didn't run up to me or anything. She was under my mom and dad's bed laying there, not a sound. It was so sad cause usually she is up and running all around.

This weekend I'm going to have a party! It is going to be awesome. I think that I'm going to invite most of my friends if my mom is okay with it. I think that she is.

My friends and I want to play hide and seek in the dark. It is a very fun game. It is when there is one person at the top of the stairs and they count to 50 (or whenever the people that are hiding are ready). Then the person goes and tries to find them in the dark. The other people try to scare the seeker and not be found, which means move around!

This weekend is going to be really fun especially because there is going to be all my friends there. I just can't wait!!!

One day it was a cold spring day and I was going to a new school. It was Denali Elementary. I was in third grade and I was a new student and my teacher was Mrs. Dibert. My mom told her that I wasn't coming until the 4th day after school started.

It was the 4th day of school (not really - it was the first day of school to me). I thought that it was really nice there because Mrs. Dibert was nice and then she put me next to her best student, Jenna. She didn't really talk to me until the lunch break. I asked her "What's your name?"

She said "My name is Jenna; whats yours?" I said that my name was Kaira. And so when we started to hang out more Jenna introduced me to her other friend Kyja. So all as friends we started to hang out and have sleep overs.

Now it is a Friday night. It is Kyja, Jenna, and me in the living room watching Finding Nemo. It was super fun and then we fell asleep. The next morning we woke up and Jenna and I told Kyja that she was walking in her sleep then she told us a story...

Lois Lowry is the author of Number the Stars. She made over 20 novels and we read one of them. She is a great writer and our class has read 2 of her best selling books. We read The Giver and Number the Stars. I think that with all the books that she wrote, she wanted to show no similarity in any of her books.

Recently we finished The Giver. It taught us how it would be if we had a perfect world. I think that book was very interesting, seeing how they don't know what feelings or colors were.

In the book, Number the Stars, there are many characters. Annemarie is one of those characters. I think she is the most important because she helps the most, and becomes the bravest. She also has a sister named Kirsti who is very stubborn and brave. And the last of all was the Rosen family. They were Jewish, so they had to hide from the Germans.

My trip to Hawaii was SUPER boring. I couldn't see any of my friends because they were all in school and I had to help clean the house because my grandparents were moving out to go live with my aunt and uncle. But the good part of it was that I could go shopping. The other things that I did besides cleaning was meeting up with my mom's friends. When my mom went out to lunch I would go with her and if she didn't want me to come then I would just hang out with my family.

This might sound crazy to you but it was... for me the humidity and the heat was too much, and I would probably be in the freezing cold weather instead of the boiling hot island. But the thing that I liked about the heat was that I could get a tan and there was no snow.

Although I could live with the heat I wouldn't live there for sure. I like it here more than there because all my awesome friends are here, and there is lots and lots of snow, and I can have a dog.

This Thanksgiving I thought that it was really boring. The only reason that I thought it was boring was the fact that it was old people and there was no one to hang out with. But on the bright side there was delicious food and awesome pie.

Also my grandma is in town so I got to go shopping on Black Friday. We spent a whole lot of money. My Thanksgiving is still not over because my mom, dad, and I all went to my aunt's house to eat turkey and ham, so in our garage there is a turkey and a ham that we have to eat.

On Saturday my friend and I went to go tubing on Birch Hill and it was a lot of fun. Tubing is when you get in a tube with a plastic bottom. Birch Hill is too hard to walk up, so they hook you on to a belt and bring you up in your tube. The next thing is that you pick a lane and old on tight as you go down the super icy hill. You might go in to the parking lot (but you don't really because they put hay down to stop you from doing that). So when we got to the top of the hill we started to slide down but after the first jump we started to slow down on the track and then.... We stopped right in the middle and had to walk down the rest of the way.

Today I'm going to the beach and it is very exciting although I miss all my classmates. In Hawaii there aren't many things to do because everyone is in school. I just thought that I should write on the website to see how you guys are doing. By the way how are you guys doing?

It is really hot here and it's not as good as you would think. There is a lot of humidity and there is a thunderstorm coming. But the good part is that I finished all of my math homework. Well if you ask me questions about Hawaii on the comments then I'll be happy to answer . Well I'll write later...

This is a story about when my friend and my family and I all went camping in the middle of summer on our week off from softball. After the camping we went fishing then something happened.....

One day on the second of June, on my week off from softball, I went camping. I went to Valdez on a campground that I can't remember. My friend and I said "I think that our tent is too small," and it was, but we could fit. My friend said, "Yeah, with all your big fat pillows and blankets, it is".

So when we were there, we played softball. Then up the road we saw some kids coming. So we started to walk and then after awhile we went to the waterfall on the campgrounds to go play full range softball.

We got to the waterfall and then saw raspberries and blueberries. I didn't want to eat them because I thought that they were poison bombs. When our long day was over, we went back to our camping spot, and then toasted marshmallows. They tasted really good. After that it was time to go to bed.

For the past 2 weeks my class was getting dropped off around the school to observe things around the school. I think that a fly on the wall is when you sit or stand somewhere and then observe the things that are happening around you. That is what we did in our school.

I was in 3 different places. The first place i was in was the doorway of the back of the school where everyone comes in from recess. When it seems like the place is empty and not high-traffic it is. When I was there I could see everyone go down the stairs and I could see the main part of the school.

The second place that I was at was underneath the fire extinguisher. It was in the hall. That wasn't the most exiting area but it still had movement. Mrs. Shira said, "Hi," and then I said, "Hi," back. There was also some tool men talking about how they could fix the door in Mrs. Reabold's class. When we were almost done I saw Mr. Noon coming down the hall.

On June 11th a triplet of baby red pandas were born. The red pandas were born in the zoo at Fargo. The pandas were very welcomed because there hasn't been a triplet of baby pandas born in over ten years. The pandas are very red considering that kind of panda was not bred before. Since the pandas are 2 females and one male, they are going to start research and then they are going to start breeding. The red pandas are related to the raccoon family because they have big bushy tails.

I think that the red pandas are awesome because they are endangered.

According to "Frightful Animals" in National Geographic, the goliath tarantula is very dangerous. I was amazed how it could catch a bird and how a small animal could get up to the size of your foot.

The biggest lizard is the gila monster. It uses its tail and puts its painful venom into the predator to protect itself from predators.

The largest bird on earth is the European Eagle Owl. It has a massive wing span that reaches 6 feet, which is 2 meters!

The great white shark spends its life in the water. They have over 300 teeth. When one comes out then another one grows back in. Also the blood thirsty animal doesn't mean to eat us. They just think that we are surfboards or big fish.

The blood python reaches up to six feet. That is probably the height of my teacher. Blood pythons squeeze their prey until they die. They hunt small animals like rats, and rabbits. This was surprising for me because such a big animal devours such small things!

Today I read my new book called "Time Stops For No Mouse." It is about a mouse that is a watchmaker called Hermux Tantamoq. He is the town's watchmaker, and one day there was a mouse named Linka Perflinger. She was an adventurer mouse who took a chance that she had to do something crazy. She came in one day and then told Hermux to fix her watch, and she made it very strict. She said that it couldn't be a second off, and if it was, it could be a matter of life and death.

So Hermux started to work on the most damaged watch that he had ever seen. It had a broken glass for the frame on the front. It had melted hands, a broken crystal, and the numbers needed to be painted back on.

Hermux went to his job, and first he used the smallest paintbrush that you could imagine. And he finished it with 2 minutes to spare. When the minutes were over he waited hours, and when the hours were over, he waited for days, and finally he was tired of it, and put the watch in a feather box and stored it in a safe.

Two weeks later he had someone else come in and the rat said that he worked for Ms. Perflinger. Hermux was not convinced, so he sent him out.

Yesterday I finished the book, Bartlett and the Ice Voyage. It was about a guy who was really poor, and he got called by the queen. The queen owned seven countries and she ate all the fruits that she wanted from her country, but one. It was the melidrop. That was the most precious fruit to her because she didn't try it before.

Bartlett set off on his adventure and he said that he would bring back a melidrop even if it killed him. So he was walking to the ships to set off on his seven month adventure to return a melidrop to the queen when he noticed that the bazaar was in town, and what did he see.....

He saw millions of melidrop stands with fresh plump melidrops which everyone craved. So he talked to all the stands and it was already 7 when he got to the last stand and the old man finally told him where he got it from, if he promised to not set up another stand next to his.

Today on our reading adventure we are going to see what happened after the conversation that Harry and Hamster Spy were talking about.

"So what should we do on the first thrill ride of our friendship?" said Harry."

"Well I don't know," said Hamster Spy.

So they thought and thought about all the adventures they could have but they couldn't think of one to do today. Suddenly they came to a decision and said that they should go and ride a hot air balloon and then they were off.

So they went to the supermarket and got a hot air balloon. Then they went to the nearest airport and then they said, "Can you help us with this hot air balloon?"

The air people said that all they could do is start the balloon up and move all the airplanes.

Then they were off with the expedition.

Today we went to go see the Lathrop drama club do some acting. They did plays like Pippi Longstocking, and some other things that I can't remember, but anyway Mr. Noon asked us if we wanted to see them do the plays about 2 weeks ago, and we saw it today.

It was really cool, and I thought that they did a good job of acting. When I go to high school I wouldn't want to be in drama club because I don't like acting. Sure I use it everyday but it's just not my thing.

I hope that we can do that again some other time when it is later in the year, but for now I think that I can stop the acting for a little while.

My dog's name is Koala. She is a female pit bull retrievier. She is a very fun-loving dog that hates to swim. Koala is brown and white, with a really hard head.

Koala is very cute and loves walks. She also likes to chew on socks. When nobody is looking, she goes in the sock hamper and grabs the sock, when she has the chance.

Koala is very spoiled. Sometimes she get the leftovers, but that is only if she eats all her dog food.

She has good obedience, but she has no idea how to play fetch. When my mom is on the computer, Koala likes to go under the chair because she thinks that she rules everything. She also does the same thing when we go to bed. So we have to get her some bed lifters so she doesn't get stuck.

In the winter, she loves snow, and we usually we build a snow castle. When we build it, we call the dog, and she digs a deeper hole in the tunnel, and comes in the cave. She loves the cave, and one day she wouldn't come out, and so I slept in there with her.

Tell the Raven is a website that is for kids that are in Mr.Noon's class. It is supposed to send a message to the whole world. I think that Tell the Raven website was created from the totem pole in our playground.

The story of the totem pole is that some native American who helped the Denali sixth graders of 1997. The story is that the totem pole was made out of a 24 foot red cedar tree, and the animal on top is a raven and the animal on bottom is a panther. The panther is because that is our school mascot, and the raven is to spread love kindness and respect. That is how I think that this website was made.

Now this year I'm a sixth grader and I use this website. It is really fun, and I think that it is a good way for the class to express and tell the world their story.
