I just finished reading an article "Space Junk." It told me that in space, there is space junk because of all the rocket stages, parts from blown up satellites, human waste, and human made space junk. They want to remove the junk so they don't hit satellites and ruin them.

One of the articles said that there was 2,000 pieces of space junk. My "National Geographic" book says that there are now 300,000 pieces of space junk traveling the earth's atmosphere. The other article said that there was 13,000 pieces, including Edward White's space glove from when he lost it in his moon walk in '65. It said that his glove went around the earth at least 28,000 times until it blew up. There are also 2,500 satellites working and non-working in space.

Vanguard 1 is still in orbit and is the oldest piece of satellite space trash. A 100,000 tool bag was found in space and you could see it from a telescope. The scientists want to shoot space junk with lasers so then they could move the litter from the satellites, but if they do shoot it away it would come right back because of the Earth's orbit.

This past weekend was really hectic. I went to a Glonrytoyyrtgame and there was also softball tryouts. This is how I started my week.

On Friday afternoon Jenna, and Tana spent the night. We did some crazy things. Jenna and Tana were playing just dance on the Wii. It was really fun and they looked weird too. The next day Saturday, to be exact, was softball tryouts. I was #22 in the line. I got done early so I got to stay and help. Jenna got hungry so she left the gym to go to the vending machine. It was a tiring day. When we got back we went for a walk and then sadly, I broke my phone. :( I was just walking and then it just randomly broke. It was very disappointing.

On Sunday I went to the Harlem Globetrotters game. It was a fake game, but it was funny. At the game I saw Rose and some other people. The Globetrotters were playing "The Washington Generals". When I was sitting with Rose we got water all over us. They also pulled off one of the other guys whole uniform. It was really funny and I got my ball signed by all of the players.

After the game, Rose went home with me and we went to various different places. My mom took us to Safeway, Radio Shack, AT&T, and Walmart. It was really fun until Rose left at like 7. This is what happened in my crazy messed up week.

I have had a cellular device for several years. The cellular device is also known as a cell phone. The cell phone has a wireless chip that is in it and then it transfers calls to another cell phone. I was talking to my mom about cell phones and she said that a long time ago, there was a phone called the brick. The brick was a phone that was actually the size of a brick and you had to put it into your bag and not your pocket. Now cell phones are tiny and are more like the size of mouse. Now days they have cell phones that flip, slide, and rotate. Most of the phones that you would have now would be a full keyboard phone. I know this sounds kind of strange but instead of people calling, they would text another person. I know what you're thinking, (This is crazy! How can they do this! Why don't they just call!)

I think that sending messages to another person is more convenient because if that other person is in a meting then you can just message them instead of calling them and interrupting them in their meeting.

Today in the gym we met one of the people from "The Harlem Globe Trotters." This guy named Dizzy Grant came and he was telling us about sportsmanship. The globetrotters are a basketball team that travels around the world and have played in 120 different countries. There team has been around for 84 years.

Dizzy Grant is 6'2 and he was born in 1982. He graduated college in '05 and watched a globetrotters game when he was seven. There team colors are red, white, and blue. There team was also discovered in 1926. "On September 12, 1995 they lost 91-85 to Kareem Abdul- Jabbars All star team" said wikipedia.

This year in sixth grade, me as a reader has gotten better. I now like books more than before, and have enjoyed it. I like reading fiction books and learned how to be more of a good writer.

One of the books that I really like was "The Candy Shop War" by Brandon Mull. I thought that book had a of effort and hard work put in to it, mostly because of the imagination and the characters. From that book, I've learned that books are really hard to write unless you have a great imagination, and if you have great characters.

In the past year of sixth grade I have read 22 books. I think I have grown towards reding as I got older. I think that through the year I did better on reading on my own instead of reading with the class. For the past 4 years in this school I have read with my class a whole bunch of books, but I think that reading by myself is better. More or less, I think that Reading is probably my favorite subject that I'm getting an A+ in.

Last week, I was with my friends rollerblading. Jenna and Holly, my friends, were running and I was trying to catch up with them. So I went really fast and tucked-and-rolled. They ran back and Holly was asking me, "Are you okay???" While Jenna was being a bad friend and laughing her head off! She is so mean.

In two days on the 28th it will be my birthday. I'm going to turn twelve. This past weekend was my birthday party and it was pretty awesome. People have been asking me (especially my parents) what I wanted for my birthday. Of course I said the iPad. They also asked me what else. I said that I wanted blue paint. My room is really plain and white. It also has dots from the nails in the wall. I wanted to splatter paint my room... But I would need to move everything out of my room, and then covering my carpet, then splattering it all over.

I don't really know what I want for my birthday because things are getting more expensive and now that I'm getting older I don't really want toys or like things that I wanted when I was little. Mostly what I want now are laptops, cell phones, shoes, and etc.

My birthday this year I don't want to have, I don't even know why people celebrate it. All your birthday is, is the day that you were born, and a year of getting older. The big question is, why do they give you presents? If your birthday is when your born and getting a year older then what is the reason of getting presents. I think that when your young you should get them, but over time your just getting older and wanting less things.

Yesterday I just finished a book called Flush. It was a cool book. The setting took place in the Florida Keys. It was about this boy named Noah. He is 12 years young and his dad is in jail. His dad is in jail because,he sunk a gambling ship called the Coral Queen. He sunk the ship because he saw a guy named Dusty Muleman put his ship's sewage in the clean waters.

Noah went to go and visit his dad in jail and his dad told him to go to a guy named Lice Peeking. Noah went to Lice Peeking's house and told him that he needed help with ratting out Dusty. Lice knows all these things about the ship because he used to work there. Dusty really hates Lice (who's real name is Charles) because he stole this girl named Shelly from him.

Noah and Lice make a deal. The deal was that Lice wrote everything that was true about the Coral Queen and then Noah gives Lice a boat that his dad was trying to get rid of. Noah went to Lice's house to go and get the note but Shelly (Lice's Girlfriend) said that Lice was kiddnapped. She said that there were blood stains on the seats and it had been 24 hours after his dissapearence.

Noah's dad Paine escaped out of jail when he really didn't have to. The sheriff's were going to release him 8 hours after he broke out.

When testing was finally over, we started to build rockets. The rockets come from a set called Pitsco Rockets. It's for science so I had to make it perfect. The rockets were hard to make because you couldn't mess up. If you messed up then you wouldn't be able to fix it. In this Pitsco set, there is no spare parts. So if you mess up, you mess up!

We also had to take a review test for our rockets. We had to answer questions about what we did, and the history, and discribe what our rockets look like. I think that the hardest part of when we were making the rockets was when we had to make the engine holder, put on the launch lug, and put on the gummed paper.

My rocket looks like a lollipop or a candy cane. It is pink and yellow and it swirls all the way to the top. The nose cone is yellow, and the fins have blue, yellow, and purple on them. It also has my name on it with a little bit tilting to it. I think that it looks like its going to blow up. But maybe not!

This week the 23rd of April I am having my 12th birthday party! It s going to be so awesome! We are going to have ice cream cake, Itunes gift cards as prizes, and some pretty crazy games. One of the games is for Icee. She, or he, loves Giraffes and we have a game where we get a Giraffe mask and then wear it around the neighborhood yelling "I'M A GIRAFFE!"

The other game is hide and seek in the dark. Jenna and I invented that game. It is so awesome. Dianna, Jenna, and Isabella were once playing that game and then I scared Dianna so bad!

Sometime... Maybe all the time I have parties for no reason but this weekend were going to actually have a party for a reason. I don't really know what I'm going to get for my birthday, and I don't really know what I want. Bella asked me that question and I just named her a whole bunch of thing that were probably useful.

I think that I need some advice for some party games to play. I think that we need some fun and not have to be super bored. If one of my parties were boring I would DIE.

I for my party this Friday, I think I'm going to have a dance party theme because Dianna, had basketball as her theme for her party. My mom bought 'Dance Party' and it's going to be AWESOME! I don't know very much about that game, but I do know that you have to dance.

I'm going to have a party this weekend. It's going to have games and dance party. This week my party is actually going to be for a reason.

One day I was in my room and I was just thinking. I was thinking of all the times I had with my dog. So I went outside to the sunny day, got my dog out of her house, and I took her for a walk. When we were walking we saw something really strange. What we saw were killer bunnies. The bunnies were on the road eating all the cars that went past. I didn't think that it was right. So out of no where my dog turned into a super dog. She went right up to those killer bunnies and just rounded them up, and then threw them in the river. That was the end of those things.

When we reached the school I got a text message. It appeared to be from my friend Bella. She told me that I had to get to her house A.S.A.P. so that's what I did. I was about to walk there but my dog Koala was talking to me. She said "Get on my back and I'll fly you to her house."

So when I got to her house I had to tell Bella right away what my dog could do! But then, I thought twice. I was thinking that if i told Bella what would happen to my dog. Would she get taken away and get removed to a remote place? All these things were swirling in my head, and by the time I got to the door Bella was rushing me downstairs.

What she was showing my was totally amazing! What it was, was really hard to explain. IT was a... magic wand. She gave me the instructions to it and then I read it. It said "Be careful with me because you can see I am a magic wand. I am very powerful with my magic and can sometimes not be fun." Bella then asks me "What do you think that means." "I don't know" I said.

When my dog and I left her house she strangely popped right in front of me and my dog, with her magic wand. She asked me if she could come and I said that she could, considering the fact that she was already there.

We were walking down the street and to our surprise the evil bunnies came back. So Bella wanted to try out her new wand. She found out that her wand could do whatever she wanted. She said "FIREBALLS!" And out of the wand came fireballs. The evil bunnies got defeated once again.

We were right about to get to my house when this strange pole got in our way. The pole turned out to be a pole that goes straight to the center of the earth. The directions said "If you want an adventure take a ride on me. I hope you have a wand!" We touched the pole and down we went.

When we got there we saw a person. Bella and I went toward that person and asked their name. She said that her name was Peaches. Peaches was stuck in the center of the earth for 3 days. So when we found that out we got her a whole bunch of food and water. She said "I touched the pole that appeared in front of me and I didn't have a wand." We wished that we were out of the center of the earth and were in North Carolina.

The next day I got startled because I got awakened by my super powered dog. She said that we had to get out of the cave we were in. I said "WHAT CAVE!" She said that there was a cave called North Carolina and it was also a cave in a volcano. We rushed outside to figure that we were almost too late. Right then we were running out of the cave, down the hill, trying to run away from the steaming hot lava that was coming toward us.

We soon got away to a safer place. It was a school. I didn't like the looks of this school because teachers were brainwashing kids. It was really scary so we had to be very sly. One of the teachers almost caught us but we ran away.

We found an airplane that could take us back to my house. We got in the airplane and Peaches flew it. When we were half way there I told Bella to wish me a parachute. So she did. I said"GERONIMO" and then jumped out of the plane. That's how I got home. Then Bella just wished herself home, and soon enough Peaches went with my dog and flew back to the little house.

I am a golden dart frog in the amazon searching for some juicy insects. I am hoping along the path when I see a human walking past. It is a scientist looking for me. I'm thinking quick hide! But I'm too late. The scientist has me in a container, in his hands. He is bringing me back to his lab to study me.

Were in his lab. He takes me out of his jar, and tells his assistant "This is a golden poison dart frog. It is the most deadly of all the frogs. It's other name is the Terribilis." He picks me up and I hop out of his hand. What I want to say is "I'm one of the deadliest animals on earth, and if you didn't have those gloves on, my poison could kill you."

The scientist took a sample of my poison on my gleaming skin, and then let me go. I'm now outside and hoping back to my home. Then I see a happy couple. They saw me and picked me up. I tried to scare them away but they didn't know what I was. So they picked me up and my poison got on to them. The lady started to get itchy and then fainted to the ground. The man ran for help and went back to the lodge.

I am the golden poison dart frog, also known as the Terribilis. I am found in Columbia, South America. I'm only about the size of a quarter, and I can kill you with just the slightest touch.

One day I was riding to school. It was a normal day but when I got on the bus there was a wand that no one could see taped to my seat. I asked everyone if they saw it, and they all said no. So I took it off the seat and read the note. It said "This is a magical wand. It is very powerful, and if you use it the right way it will grant your every wish and you shall keep it. However if you do not use it correctly, you shall not keep it."

When we got to school I got off the bus with the wand and everyone started to ask me what was in my hand. (They thought that I was holding something imaginary.) I told them that it was just something that I was pretending to hold. So when we got upstairs to the classroom I brought the wand to my desk and I sat there until we had to do our math. When I got done I read the label of my wand. It said can be used for anything except beating people up or hurting anyone. So what I did is I sped up time to where math was over and so was school.

I was so bored when I got home that I used my wand to put a portal in my room on my wall to Hawaii. It was awesome! I went to the beach and then I got some money and then went to the mall.

I thought that I was being selfish so then I wished everything back to normal.. Except I got to keep the wand forever.

All of a sudden there was a magical wizard in my room. I asked what he was doing there and he said that he was there to give me all the things for the wand. He asked me if I wanted to know more about it but i decided to say no.

The next day with the wand was so fun! But then everything went horribly wrong. Since I didn't ask for any instructions I lost the wand. And that was the end of that.

The next day I was really sad. So I did my normal day but when I got on the bus it was a surprise because it was in the same place I had found it. So I wished I started 2 days ago all over again and that's just what it did. When I woke up 2 days ago I did the day just the same but this time someone else had the wand, and it wasn't my problem anymore!

If I was given a ticket to go anywhere in the world I would pick Hawaii. I would go to Hawaii because I've already been there and it is super fun. Also I have all my family there. The places I like to go to is the Zoo, the Aquarium, the beach, and the water park.

First of all I like to go to the zoo because every year I go to the zoo. Every year I go, there are new animals. I also like it because the animals there are exotic animals. The animals that I like to see are the giant fishes. They are almost 7 feet in length. There are also penguins and parrots. When you go in the parrot cages, you can buy a bottle of nectar for 1 USD and feed the parrots juice.

The other reason why I really like to go there is the water park. The last time that I went to the water park I had a blast! Another reason why I like it is because I get to go and hang out with my old friends from pre-k.

The second to last thing that I like about Hawaii is that I get to go to the aquarium. The aquarium is always fun; it's the thing that I like to do most. I like the aquarium because it has a fish tunnel, and when you walk through it, it feels like I'm underwater with all the fishes and sharks.

Just yesterday I was sitting in my room watching television and I hear my mom calling my name. I said "YES." She said "Come here." The biggest mistake that I have made in my whole entire life.

I have been wanting a laptop for years because all my friends have one, but my parents still don't get me one. I wanted one for Christmas, still nothing, birthday, nope. I have an iPod touch, but that's not as great as a laptop.

I think that the iPad isn't as great as a real laptop because of the touch screen and you can't close the screen. I think that it would be cool and awesome but what would happen after a year? What about if the screen gets scratched or if it doesn't come with a warranty?

Well this is the new type of computer and some things are great about it and other things are not. This is why I want it, but I don't want it.

Last weekend I was with my friends Luna Lovegood, Makenzie, and Hamster Spy. We were all at Luna Lovegood's house partying with air blowers and hide and seek. We also played hide and seek with her brother, Samson. We were having fun. Then we ordered some pizza. Her brother challenged us to a pizza eating contest. We won.

The next thing that we did was listen to Tick Tock and I'm a Gangster. It was pretty fun. In the morning Luna's soon to be step mom, Phyllis, was so awesome she brought over bacon and we made waffles. But Hamster Spy ruined the waffle maker with chocolate.

It was 2 o'clock and Hamster Spy was playing the piano with Phyllis while Makenzie, me and Luna were all on Myspace. Then the day ended there because Luna had to go with her dad to Safeway to go with her mom.

I was reading an article about how teens got asked to take a survey about the hours of sleep they get. The average teen sleeps about 9 hours, and the least amount is 8. When scientists reviewed all the tests, 900 students got nine hours, while the other 2,800 reported 8. Scientists also asked students what could harm your health. Most of them said drugs, alcohol, and overly-sleep. If a person doesn't get enough sleep that could cause things like harder to learn, and physical abilities. You can get obese and sleeping can throw off your body's chemical balance.

A 34 year old man was getting a degree in art and he had a test to make something household. So he made an alarm clock. He went around asking people what they would want to wake up in the morning to. Most of them said bacon.

So when he went home he made an alarm clock that had a wooden pig put an alarm clock in it and a cooker. He cooked bacon in the wooden pig with light bulbs and then the fan would blow the smell out the nose of the pig and BOOM you have breakfast and you woke up!

All you have to do is put in a piece of bacon the night before and then if you set your alarm to 9:!5 the bacon will start cooking at 9:05. The bacon wont spoil because the bacon that you put in is frozen and there is no burning because he uses halogen light bulbs.

Tell the Raven is a fun site for Mr.Noon's class. We make blogs and we write about what's happening, or what's going on in our life. We usually are on this site a lot because it is a class website.

There is a story about this website and I think that it is true. Our school has a totem pole in our playground made out of red cedar wood. There is a raven a panther and something else. Sixth graders from like 10 years ago made that totem pole with a true Alaskan. The raven is on top so then it can tell the world about all the great things that happens in our school.

Today our class went to the Museum of the North and liked at all the cool paintings. We went with different people to different stations. The second station that we went to was I think the best because it had passion and cool figurines. The first thing that caught my eye was the outhouse. The outhouse that I saw in the museum was really cool! It had license pates decorating it and little mini things. I think that, that was the coolest.

The other things that I found cool was the relief paintings because they were 2-d and 3-D. It was 2-D because it was flat but, then again it was 3-D because it was carved in and nothing was sticking out to where you can see it unless your really up close.

The thing that people thought was fascinating was the listening room but I thought that it was pretty boring. The person who made it was John Luther Adams. The only thing that I was interested in was that he had devices that went all over the state I think and the device transmitted earthquakes, morning bells, night bells, and northern lights. After a while though the sound got pretty annoying.

Just this past week we had a substitute teacher. We had so much fun and the whole class had so much fun. Sometimes it was really boring like science but then he made it fun. We have him for the whole week (Thursday and Friday). We have a student box and a teacher box and when we are quiet he gives us a mark; when we're losing control, he puts one in his box.

I think that this is the best sub that we ever had. He is really fun because he knows when to stop talking and when we have to talk. Even in math he has some minor problems, but he gets through it. We played heads up seven up and it was really fun. I think that he was a little too fun, but it was fine with me.

Well it is the end of the week and it was really fun. I wish that we could replay this week but we can't because no one invented the time machine yet. This week was really fun but I wish sometimes we just had one teacher because it gets really confusing, but it was fun.

It is a very complex world out there and some people can't even believe that there could ever be such a thing created. Cell phones. Cell phones are the things that you can take on the go. You can do a lot of things with it. For instance you can text people, call people, and surf the web.

One of my dads friends has an iPhone for himself and he thinks that it was created to take over the world! But then again my mom thinks that he just watches too many Terminator movies. But I think that it just might be help to a stalker because of the applications on it. It has a application for almost anything you can look up a person's name and then it shows you what the house looks like, and what the address is, and even a phone number.

Then again sometimes they can come in handy because if there is an emergency, BAM! You have a cell phone to call 911. I think that the only reason that I like a cell phone is because of the texting. I think that texting is useful because it saves you more money. If you can't reach the person, you can get a hold of them and when you have to be silent you can just text a friend without talking.

Its almost Christmas and the tree is filling up in a mountain of gifts. Usually people want a lot of gifts. But that's the whole point. I thought that Christmas was supposed to be about giving, and having a great time with your family, but now there are people just wanting things then they get it but don't return to the person that gave them the perfect gift.

I think that Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year, and it is, but when you meet up with a grump like Scrooge, then I would think that your Christmas has a dent in it knowing that someone isn't happy when you see someone hating Christmas with their family.

Then I bring us back to wanting things. Sometimes there are Scrooges out there because they want something so bad but then when it comes to Christmas the don't get it, and they think they are but there not. In the future when people like parents try to get something for their kids it doesn't happen because they don't have money or their kids want, but don't appreciate what they get.

This Christmas I think I am not to receive but to take from me and give to the people who I think should deserve the gifts of Christmas.

This Saturday I went with my friends to go see the movie 2012. It was the best movie ever. It was about this guy who had a friend in Africa and he owned a copper mine. He said that the heating was unusual, and he wanted to know what went wrong. So he showed the scientist the hole that had water in it and the water was unstable. It was bubbling.

As soon as he saw it he contacted the president. He had traveled in a car 20,000 miles to the White House to talk to the president and he was told to go away.

So now there is a guy whose name I don't remember working for a lame guy that only bosses him around. He is divorced from his wife and only has some time to help and take time with his children. So he goes to his ex-wife to get his children.

They went camping and saw this freaky hobo when they were going to the campground. When they left to go camping, so did his ex-wife and Gordon (the girl's boyfriend). And they went to the store to go and get food and everything. When they went to go get the soup there was a shaking in the ground in the super store and then the store split in half and you could see the lava from the center of the earth.

Just the other day when the orchestra went to go practice everyone else that was left got to go and play a game that is called Gravity Master. It is a game that you have to draw shapes and move a ball so it can get to the moving black orb. There is another game like that and it is called touch physics.

I heard of this game because you can buy it on your iPhone or iPod touch. Last night I played it until 5:30pm from when I came back from school. It was crazy because I went up to level 20 and then I beat it, but right there the computer shut off on me. It was so crazy.

So I had to restart the game and it felt like there was 50 tons on my fingers, just from playing that game over. Then guess what those tons turned into.... not 50 but 1 million, because I wanted to finish that game. But it shut off on me again!!!!

I got so mad. So what I did was I took it slow and then I finally passed the level, and I was so happy, but also sad. I was sad because I couldn't show any of my friends, because it only saves on that computer. I just wanted to say that it is the best game ever.

Koala is my dog and she has recently got staples in her nose. She got staples in her nose because she got into a stick this summer and some sticks can contain a bacteria that put that bubble on her nose.

At first it was really small, the size of one little dot, then in the winter just before I left to Hawaii it was SuPeR big. I got really worried. So when I was in Hawaii, I called my dad everyday and asked him if the dog was okay and he kept saying that it was getting better, but when I came home I found out that it was getting bigger... Since my dad didn't take her in for her second opinion, my mom and I had to. So we took her in, and then they said that next Tuesday she would get the big thing that looked like a wart removed.

I was so scared that day and when I went to school on that fateful day all I could think about was my poor cute big dog. Later that day when I came home from school she didn't run up to me or anything. She was under my mom and dad's bed laying there, not a sound. It was so sad cause usually she is up and running all around.

This weekend I'm going to have a party! It is going to be awesome. I think that I'm going to invite most of my friends if my mom is okay with it. I think that she is.

My friends and I want to play hide and seek in the dark. It is a very fun game. It is when there is one person at the top of the stairs and they count to 50 (or whenever the people that are hiding are ready). Then the person goes and tries to find them in the dark. The other people try to scare the seeker and not be found, which means move around!

This weekend is going to be really fun especially because there is going to be all my friends there. I just can't wait!!!

One day it was a cold spring day and I was going to a new school. It was Denali Elementary. I was in third grade and I was a new student and my teacher was Mrs. Dibert. My mom told her that I wasn't coming until the 4th day after school started.

It was the 4th day of school (not really - it was the first day of school to me). I thought that it was really nice there because Mrs. Dibert was nice and then she put me next to her best student, Jenna. She didn't really talk to me until the lunch break. I asked her "What's your name?"

She said "My name is Jenna; whats yours?" I said that my name was Kaira. And so when we started to hang out more Jenna introduced me to her other friend Kyja. So all as friends we started to hang out and have sleep overs.

Now it is a Friday night. It is Kyja, Jenna, and me in the living room watching Finding Nemo. It was super fun and then we fell asleep. The next morning we woke up and Jenna and I told Kyja that she was walking in her sleep then she told us a story...

Lois Lowry is the author of Number the Stars. She made over 20 novels and we read one of them. She is a great writer and our class has read 2 of her best selling books. We read The Giver and Number the Stars. I think that with all the books that she wrote, she wanted to show no similarity in any of her books.

Recently we finished The Giver. It taught us how it would be if we had a perfect world. I think that book was very interesting, seeing how they don't know what feelings or colors were.

In the book, Number the Stars, there are many characters. Annemarie is one of those characters. I think she is the most important because she helps the most, and becomes the bravest. She also has a sister named Kirsti who is very stubborn and brave. And the last of all was the Rosen family. They were Jewish, so they had to hide from the Germans.
