I just got a new book. It is called Raising Stanley. I haven't started it yet, but it is about teams that have won the Stanley Cup. The Stanley Cup is a trophy of the NHL, National Hockey League.

The NHL is the best league in the world. All the best players from all over the world go and play in that league. You get the Stanley Cup when you win playoffs. Winning the Stanley Cup is my dream. When you win it everyone on the team raises it and kisses it. Then in the locker room everyone on the team drinks champagne out of it. Then they get a day with the Stanley Cup.

Last year the Stanley Cup went to the Big Dipper, here in Fairbanks. It was so cool being an inch away from it. It weighs 30 pounds but when you win it, it weighs nothing. I want to win it so bad.

The food I hate the most is onions. They are so mean. They make you cry because of the smell. They feel crunchy, it's like you're eating bones. They look like purple balls. One time I tried one and I almost cried, and I almost threw up. Whenever someone offers me one, I just say, "No thanks," or "I'm not hungry," even if I am starving. I suggest you not try one if you have not already.

One time I was at my house and the power went out. So my family and I just lit some candles so we could see without tripping. But the candles didn't work that well because I was walking to the living room and I tripped. The power was out for like ten minutes. Then it started getting pretty cold because there was no electricity. I just grabbed a blanket and sat on the couch and waited for the power to come back on.

Then finally it came back on. It felt so long, like the Nile River. The next day we found out why it went out. Someone ran into a power pole and knocked it over. I hope it never happens again. It was so boring.

If I had a special ability, it would be flying and not getting tired. I wish it was flying because I could fly anywhere and save gas money. My family would save a lot of money because gas prices are so high. I would not fly commercially to places; I would fly by my self. For my hockey trips I would fly by my self. I would save a lot of money. I could get a really good job because of my ability to fly. Since I don't get tired I could carry a lot of stuff. That would be my special ability.

Prompt: What would you like to be the first person, ever, to do?

I want to be the first person to walk inside a chicken. I want to do that because I like to eat chicken and if I walk inside one, I could eat it. To do that, I will use my shrink ray to shrink me. Then, when the chicken is sleeping, I will walk inside of its mouth. When I get hungry I will get out my portable grill and cut a piece of chicken. The chicken will soon die and I will come out. I will be the first person to walk inside a chicken.

We are having very cold weather here in Fairbanks, Alaska. It is getting down to 40 degrees below zero. You can't even go outside and be freezing. If it is 20 degrees below zero we aren't allowed to go outside for recess. If you breathe it in for too long, your lungs can freeze because there is ice fog which has ice particles in the air. I want it to just warm up!

I got into hockey from my brother. My brother loves hockey. He plays for the Fairbanks Ice Dogs. That's why I started. I thought if my brother likes it, I might. It turns out I love it.

This year Eric and I are on the same team. We've been on the same team for the past four years. We are going to Colorado, Springs this year in February. We are undefeated so far in the season. We have had 15 games. Then in March we have our state tournament in Anchorage. It is going to be fun.

I play defense. My brother plays defense too. I want to go to the NHL, National Hockey League. It is the number one league in the world. The best players from all over the world play there. That is my dream.

It is Halloween today. I woke up and went to school. A lot of people have costumes on. It was fun to see people's costumes.

When I got home from school I went to hockey. We played the team one year younger than us. I got the puck of the corner, put it between a guy's legs, then put it between another guy's legs, shot and scored, top shelf.

I was doing that while everyone else was trick-or-treating. It was better than trick-or-treating. When I got home there were a few more trick-or-treaters, so I passed out candy. While I was at hockey, my sister and my nephew came over. My nephew is 5 months old. He was a dragon.

Everyone left before I got home. I ate dinner and went to bed. I didn't go trick-or-treating but it was still a great Halloween.
