Some Things About Me

My favorite colors are purple, pink and blue. My lucky numbers are 7, 29 and 57. My best friends are Rose, Bubblegum2 and Rainbowz. I like to ride horses a lot. My favorite animals are horses, dogs and chickens.

That's only part of it but, that is how I want it.

Snow Fall

A couple days ago at recess me and two friends did the AWESOMEST thing ever! We put on all of our snow gear, and and went to the knee high snow. We stuck our arms out and fell backwards into the fresh snow. It was like falling into a giant pillow. It didn't hurt. We laid there and talked until the whistle blew.

A Tag-ish Game

At recess today I was goofing around and I went to talk to Taylor and Dorothy. Usually Makeala was with them but she wasn't so I asked, "Where's Makeala?"

They said, "I don't know. She ran off."

"She's right there sliding down the slide!" I ran as fast as I could to catch her before she got off of the slide. "Caught ya!" I screamed.

"No no no no no," Makeala said, almost surrendering.

"Taylor, Dorothy, I got her," I screamed at them several times, but they didn't answer. So I almost was going to drag Makeala over, but I decided not to. I let go and ran over to tell them.

"Guy's," I said kind of in a whiny type of voice, "I yelled for back-up, but you didn't answer."

"Sorry, I didn't hear."

"Okay but we gotta catch her again!" I was the only one who went off chasing after her. This went on for about the rest of recess. It was so much fun.

My Mom's Speech Class [NOT DONE]

On Saturday I went to my mom's speech class. When we got to the University the first words out my mouth were "Wow! This place is HUGE!"

Then my mom said, "Yeah, it's like its own town here."

It was silent as we went up the round-about. We both must have been thinking the same thing because at the same time we said, "We're really early."

Then my mom said, "We have just enough time to go Mocha Dans." So we went. "What do you want?"

"Um, a peppermint steamer, I guess."

The School Spelling Bee

I just got back from the school spelling bee. I was in it. In the beginning it was easy, but towards the end the words got harder. At first I was nervous but I guess it went away. What also happened was before the spelling bee, I got the hic-ups, but they went away too. I ended up getting third place. The word I got out on was commune. Here's what happened.

Mrs. Zaverl said "Your word is commune."

So I said, "Commune, c-o-m-u-n-e, commune."

Then she said "I'm sorry that's incorrect."

I realized that I forgot the other m. I was so disappointed! At least I got third instead of nothing.

Aphrodite the Goddess

I'm writing about a goddess named Aphrodite. She is the goddess of love, beauty and fertility. She was also a protectress of sailors. She is my favorite, because she represents kindness as well. At least thats what I think anyway. Her Roman name was Venus. Some say she was born from sea-foam others say she was the daughter of Zeus and Dione. I personally think that Aphrodite was the daughter of Zeus and Dione.

If you want to find out more about any of the Gods or Goddesses click here.

Greek Myths

Greek myths, to me, are really cool. My favorite is the one about Zeus. This is the story: Cronos, the father of the gods, married his sister Rhea, goddess of Earth. They were Gods, so they were allowed to do that. Every child they had, Cronos ate them whole.

Finally, Rhea got tired of it, so when she had the next child she hid him so one of there children could live. She decided to name him Zeus. So to trick Cronos, she wrapped a rock in a blanket and held it to her chest and pretended it was a baby. As soon as Cronos saw it, he snatched it and ate it whole.

After a couple years when Zeus was about 13, Zeus and Rhea made a drink to make Cronos cough up the other kids. Rhea delivered the drink with Zeus close behind. One by one the kids got coughed up. First the rock, then the rest. Because they were gods, they survived. The others automatically chose Zeus to be their leader.

I really enjoy Greek myths. Here's a good site for that, just click Greek myths.

Homemade Enchiladas

My number one fave food is my Grandma's homemade enchiladas. They are sooooooo good! She makes them from scratch so its filled with lots of different ingredients. They taste almost as good as ice cream. They look like heavenly tortilla with enchilada sauce. They smell like Mexico. They feel rough, slimy and rectangular. They are the BEST food EVER!!!!!!!!

Making Links

Today Mr. Noon taught us how to make links. It's so cool! Here's one about Greek Mythology. Some of the things on this site that I enjoy are the art, The Fabulous Creatures, and The Gods and Goddesses. I would share with you this awesome trick, but I can't. Sorry!

The Time Weather Was Not My Friend

One day I was helping my mom with the barn and I was in charge of feeding the horses. It was bitterly cold out! I had fed all of the inside horses. Now it was time to feed the outdoor horses. There is a barn for 4 horses and a barn for 2 horses. I went to the barn for 4 and fed them, then went to the one for 2. I walked up to it and attempted to slide the door open. But, it wouldn't budge so I tried it again; it still wouldn't budge.

I had to get in there or otherwise the horses would not get the food. Without food they could die. I could not set a bad reputation for the farm! Trying to stay calm I walked back to the main barn to tell my mom. She told me that it was probably frozen shut.

We had to get the ice pick and get all of the ice away from it. Whew! That was hard work. We eventually got in, fed the horses, turned them in, went home and slept!

What I got for Christmas...

On Christmas Eve we got to have my sister so we had a little Christmas with her. I gave her a mixed pink colored top; she really enjoyed it. She gave me a lot of stuff. She gave me face cream, 3 things of lip gloss, lime all mine, passion for papaya and crushed candy. She also got me 3 bottles of nail polish, a picture frame that she made, nail polish remover pads and of course a Merry Christmas!!!

On Christmas my Mom and I spent the night at my Grandma's house. In the morning we had eggs, bacon and toast for breakfast. It was so good! Then at about 10:45ish we headed to church for the 11 o'clock service. After church we went home, ate lunch and opened our gifts. I got a mini video cam, Super Mario Bros., a miniish cork board, a bunch of hair things, clothes (of course), candy, a puzzle jewelry box, a new pair of gloves, Diary of a Wimpy Kid Cabin Fever, a monkey robe, chap stick and a wild animal calendar.

Poor Plant!

At the beginning of the year we planted pinto beans and popcorn seeds to see if they would grow. The first thing we did was we got a wet paper towel and put the seeds inside the middle of it, and put it in a plastic bag. Then the next day we looked at them and they were starting to grow roots. We did this for a while and eventually we put the plants in cups. We watered them for about a month but gradually I kept forgetting to water mine and it began to die.

Then today we took the plants out of the cups and looked at them very carefully through the magic eye lenses. Surprisingly the roots were really tiny and the plants were tall.

I am NOT a cat person

I am not a cat person; if anything I am a dog person. There is an explanation, you wanna hear it? You're going to read it anyway. I used to have a cat when I was 4 or 5, and I think his name was Tiger. He was orange with black stripes. That is why we named him Tiger. Anyway, he loved to get under the kitchen sink, and believe me, that was his territory. If you opened the cabinet door and he was in there, he would hiss and scratch you. That's not the only reason I dislike cats. They shed way more than dogs. What I'm saying is you have to vacuum a lot more if you have a cat than if you have a dog. So, in my opinion, it's better to get a dog than a cat.

When I go to Anchorage I plan on...

This weekend I'm going to Anchorage. Some people might think, "Whoop-de-do I go to Anchorage all the time." But for me it's exciting. It's exciting because my aunt is having a baby and the baby shower is on Saturday! Also, when things like this happen, my aunt invites most of my family that I don't usually see.

Alaska's Cold Weather

Many people that don't live in Alaska think that it's always frozen here. Well that's not always true. In Fairbanks we have hot summers as well as rainy and cold ones. We have summers starting in about May and ending in about September. Then it starts getting cold in October.

Right now, it is winter. VERY COLD! Last week we beat the record of coldest temperatures in November!

In the summer time it can be cold and rainy but it gets really hot as well. So hot that at 60 degrees you want to go and run through the sprinklers! Most times when its 60 degrees to 75 degrees I ask to run through the sprinklers and the answer is always the same - wait til it is 80 degrees.

Some of the winter activities that people enjoy are sledding, skiing and ice skating. Most people say, "I dislike the snow very much." But not me, I always love to do things with the snow. Such as making snow forts, snow chairs and snowmen when the snow is new.

Some of the summer activities people enjoy are biking, walking/running, hiking swimming, playing catch, sports and of course, fishing. I personally like to go to the beach and play in the sand.

Snow is white, cold and soft. Most of the time in the winter snow is the reason why trucks and cars don't start or why things freeze and break.

My Pets

I have 3 pets. I have a dog, a chicken and a horse. My dog's name is Gracie; my chicken's name is Amri, and my horse, his name is Coffee. Here is how each pet became mine.

One day I was helping my mom deliver concert tickets. My mom went and knocked on a door and went inside. A few minutes later she came out with something in her coat. She showed me and my grandma what it was. It was a puppy. She was so tiny! My mom asked if we could keep her. My grandma said yes! A few days later we went to the house where the puppies were and got Gracie.

I love to go to the barn and see the animals. Every time I would go to the barn this one chicken would let me catch it and hold it. She was my favorite. All night one night I thought of a name and came up with Amri. Now I had a name for her and claimed her as mine.

Last but certainly not least, Coffee. My mom use to work at Huffman Horse Center. They were closing down so the owner offered Coffee to us for only $500. That's including all of his stuff too! Then my mom turned to me and asked if I wanted to take him home. Yes I nearly shouted.

I love my pets and it is a lot of hard work, but somehow I get through it.

The Farm

Everyone always asks me can I go to your house, my house is boring, but not me! At my house there is ALWAYS something to do because I live on a farm. On the farm there are horses, bunnies, geese and chickens. I can name all of the horses. Their names are Mystique, Ziggy, Blue Eyes, Gazia, Michah, Spice Man, Hawk, Maestroe, Premiere, Coffee (my horse), Chaznee, Scotch, Ember, Legacy, Bay Bay, Maddie, Colors, and Johnny. There are way too many bunnies to name and I have only named one chicken, mine. Her name is Amri. I haven't named any of the geese because they all look very similar to each other.

Halloween Night

Yesterday, Halloween, I came to school knowing, or should I say thinking, I wasn't going trick-or-treating. So when I got to school everyone was asking, "What are you for Halloween?" Or, "Are you going trick-or-treating?"

Well you you wanna know what I said? I said, "I'm going to be myself because I'm not going trick-or-treating." All day that was my response to those questions. Then I got on the bus to go home. When I got home I put my stuff away and while I was doing that my aunt called me, so I went to her. She told me that my cousin and her daughter were coming to pick us up at 5:45 to go trick-or-treating. Then she told me if I didn't finish my dinner by the time they got at our house I wasn't going, so I quickly scarfed down my food and tried on the costume. It fit! Then I quickly added my own style to it and then they got there, and we went trick-or-treating. First we went to the Bentley Mall and then after that we went to Wedgewood.

My life

Hi, my name is Kool Kat and this is my life.

The first thing that comes to mind is when I was two. I fell down the stairs. I don't know exactly what happened, but what I do know is that I was laughing the whole time.

When I was about four I rode my horse, Soli, for the first time. It was very exiting! To this day I am still riding and owning a horse.

A little before that I started preschool at Headstart Elementary. At first I felt scared because I was worried that I wouldn't make any friends. Then I made one really good friend.

On May 27, 2007 I had a birthday. Most of my friends were there. Just about all of my family was there.

Then in 4th grade I met this awesome, funny, pretty girl. We soon became close friends and now we are in 6th grade and are best friends!
