When I was 8 me and my cousin Natalie were playing this game were we would jump off my aunt's roof. Natalie made me go first. The jump was at least 10 ft. from the ground. So I jumped.

I landed on the ground. I didn't get hurt. Natalie tried... and she didn't get hurt either. Every time we landed we would take a step up. Until Natalie went, she was about to jump, I said, "Maybe we should stop."

She said, "No! I can do it!"

"What if you get hurt?"

"What if? I'll be fine."

Then she ran and jumped... She started crying, she had broken her foot. We never jumped off the roof again, and I and Natalie weren't allowed outside without an adult.

Today we had our school spelling bee. There were three people left: Karalee, Breneth, and Matthew. Karalee got out. Then it was just the other two. It was the championship word. And Matthew spelled the first word right. Then it was Breneth's turn. He spelled his word wrong. Matthew had to spell Breneth's word, and his own word. He did. He also won the spelling bee. He's going to regionals!

Eggs are my least favorite food. They are gross in many different ways. They taste like slime to me. They are also very watery. Watery things just slide down my throat. Eggs, to me, smell like nothing. Very raw. Eggs feel like butter. My mom would make them with the yolk inside. The yolk was the worst part. My mom would make me sit at the table until I finished. It was dreadful. But those are some of the reasons why I hate eggs!

On Christmas me and my family all go to our Uncle Rick's house. So we're about to leave and when I go to start the car... it wouldn't start. My mom got really mad so she went to go try herself. She came back inside and I asked, "Did it start?" and she said, "No." So then we had to call my step-dad, Jason, to see if he could jump-start it. So he came over and I got to help. So then we had to let it warm up and we were off. So that had a solution.

Now my uncle lives at the top of a hill and my mom has a tiny car with no 4-wheel drive. So we were going to try to attempt to go up the hill. But of course, they had to plow the roads right before we got there which made it difficult because it was all icy. My mom made 4 attempts to get up the hill. Didn't make it. On our last try up the hill we almost made it. My mom even had to get a head start.

So we're driving up the hill and here comes another problem. There's a car in the way. So my mom had to stop. The guy got out of his car and tried to push my moms car... But that didn't work. so my mom had to back down the hill and that was a scary part because sometimes we would drift and slide. So when we got to the bottom my mom called my uncle because he was already at the house and he also has a truck. So he came down and got us up the hill, and we were able to go to the party.

Winter break was awesome. For Christmas I got everything I wanted. I went over to my friend Ryin's house. It was really fun because, we went sledding on the UAF hill. Me and Ryin got on a sled together and when we got to the bottom of the hill we both fell on our faces. It was really cold. We also went to the mall to get some new shoes. The shoes I got were $75.99. That was the most money I've ever spent on shoes. But it was worth it because I love my shoes that I got. They have checkered laces. The colors of the laces are black and light blue. I would have picked purple but they didn't have anymore purple shoelaces. But the blue i got goes perfectly with the colors on my shoes.

Today we had a Christmas concert, and every grade had to be in it. And every time a grade went up, I wanted it to go down. But since we were the last people to go I was okay. But our turn finally came and I was a little freaked out by the fact that we had to sing in front of the whole entire school. Our first song was One Love by Bob Marley. Our second was We wish you a Merry Christmas.

In our first song I had to play the ukulele. Playing the ukulele is actually really easy. Well if you know the notes. And in our second song I had to get o the bleachers and sing. I was standing next to my friend Shaylee and she kept on making me laugh. But I still managed to sing the song. And that's what happened at the Christmas concert, well at least to me.

When I was a little kid I got stung by a bee. So how it happened I was playing outside, and all of a sudden I feel a pinch. So I went to show my teacher, and she said I had got stung by a bee. She also said I got stung by a Yellow Jacket. And when ou stung by a Yellow Jacket it really, really hurts. She said she got stung by a Yellow Jacket before.

So then she sent me to the nurse's office so I could tell her I got stung. Then the nurse put some cream on it that made it feel better. But that was the time I got stung by a bee!

Today our orchestra class had an orchestra party. It was really boring. Me, Jariah, Shaylee, and Selena all played twister. And I think that was the most fun I had at that party. Some people brought board games, others brought snacks, such as oranges, chips, popcorn with chocolate and marshmallows. So that's basically what they brought. So yeah, probably the worst party ever.

In school today we had math and learned about adding fractions. Well we knew how to add fractions; we just used a different algorithm. Then when the math kids came back from the other math classes, I went to orchestra while everyone else had snack. When I go to orchestra on Thursdays, I go from 10:00 a.m. til 10:45 a.m. Then the orchestra comes back and has to do a language paper.

After that we had to do a social studies paper on Egypt. When we were done with that we went to music and sang One Love by Bob Marley.

Later, after that, we went to recess, and I hung out with my friends. Then we came in to eat lunch. But the rest of the day was about learning. We did social studies and other things but that's all I have today.

Tundra and taigas are ecosystems. An ecosystem is a living and non-living thing in an area interacting with each other. Tundra and taigas have some things in common.

The climate in a tundra is mainly very cold. It is cold because it is cold in the far northern regions, and tundra is located in the far northern regions. In a tundra they have lots of plants, but you have to remember its very cold. So it is probably hard for a plant to interact with the coldness. The animals that live there are caribou, musk-oxen, Wolves, wolverines, arctic foxes, and polar bears. Those are the predators.

In taigas the climate is also very cold. The location is in the northern hemisphere. The plants the plants that are there are more like, trees, lichens and mosses. Lastly the animals that live there are rodents, foxes, wolves, and ravens.

In tundra and taigas they have some things in common like; they are both cold and theyr'e both in the north. Lastly they both have short summers.

Halloween was a couple days ago. I could tell it was going to be the most boring Halloween yet. I could tell because it was cold, and because my uncle Cory wasn’t taking us. He takes me and my friend Ryin trick-or-treating every year, except when Ryin's at her dad's. Then her dad takes us.

So my Uncle Cory didn’t take us this year. Instead, Ryin’s mom took us. The thing that was dumb was we didn’t really get that much candy. Because almost every house we went to was out of candy. So we would walk up to the door and “Knock, knock,” and they would say, “Sorry we're all out of candy.” And we would say, “Dang it!”

After we were done with that neighborhood, we went to go pick up my cousin, Mashayla, and we went to the mall. They gave us candy there. After we went to this rich neighborhood, this one house gave us full candy bars. So yeah, that was basically the most boring Halloween ever.

Today I had to do a book report. I was shaking so much. I was really scared because I don't really like to talk in front of people. When Mr. Noon called my name everyone started to clap. I was so embarrassed. The next time i do a book report I will be prepared because this time I was not. I had three days til I went because I asked to go last, so he said, "Yes." It took more than three days to get everyone to go. Then it was my turn so I got up, went to my backpack, grabbed my bag, walked to the front, and spoke. So that's basically how it went.

I’m writing about the timeline of my life. Mr. Noon gave us an assignment to make pictures and write about them.

When I was four I fell down the stairs. How I fell was, my mom called me downstairs to clean something. I think she wanted me to clean the entry way. So I was walking down the stairs and I skipped a step and missed it. I started rolling down the stairs. And my mom came running. She wanted to see if was ok.

My next pictures about when I was five. I played soccer. It was my first year and like 15 min. into the game I scored a goal and everyone was cheering. Then 5 min. later my other teammate scored a goal.

Then in the winter I was five I started school. It was my first day of kindergarten. I thought school would be hard. But a couple days later I was like this is to easy for me so my mom didn’t even have to help me wit my homework.

Then when I was 6 my mom had my little brother Tré. His name is kind of hard to explain his name but I will explain it anyways. His real name is Lee but he’s the third Lee so we said lets use some Spanish so we counted up to three that would be Uno, dose, and tres, so we shortened it to Tré.

Now I’m in 6th grade now and I’m 11. We have been doing nothing but work this year. We have had art a couple times but that’s it. And now we're writing about this. 5th grade was a lot of fun but I think I like 6th grade better. This year could be fun.
